About Me
I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
Chris was born into music. His father owned the first jazz nightclub in Anchorage Alaska in the late fifties, after fleeing the sizzling LA, California jazz scene. From the day he could walk, talk, or remember a line, Chris has been on stage, in theater, music, radio, nightclubs ... coast to coast, and beyond. He was born in the Year of Rock n Roll, 1955. He has no major credentials to his name, after doing music professionally since 1970.
While playing in various bands, or as a "solo" act throughout his career, Chris has found himself on the same bill with acts like the Marshall Tucker Band, Edgar Winter, Firefall, Dave Mason, and more. His last full band project, Alien Cowboy (1992 - 2000), was a fixture on the "classic southern rock" circuit in the Denver region, performing over a hundred nights a year; culminating in a twelve show -- five week tour of England in 2000. It was during that tour that Chris solidified his desire to re-approach his music and focus on a sound closer to his heart, Americana country.
Today, Chris' music reflects all the diverse elements of his lifelong appreciation for Americana music. His performances incorporate country, folk, jazz, blues, rhythm & blues, southern rock, and bluegrass from a palate of songs written by himself and others more famous than he has ever been or will ever hope to be.
Besides performing, Chris also hosts two radio programs on KRFC, 88.9 FM, www.krfcfm.org , The Colorado Sound 5PM(Mountain) Saturdays, and the Morning Mix on rotating Tuesday mornings. Chris also does sound locally and books a couple of rock clubs. Also, Chris is co-owner of www.MileHighMusicStore.com -- home of Music from the Rockies.
