Life, my family, spiders and plants, zombies, ninjas, Kung-Fu movies, biking, gardening, biology, laboratory experiments, pragmatism, chemistry, sleeping in on days off, hiking through untamed jungles, wrestling alligators, trips to outer space, spiralling through the state of hyparxis, pondering the deeper meanings of life and the laws of the nature, watching cool bugs, day dreaming, dressing up like a fairy and conversing with plants.... the usual stuff
Positive people who get the comedy of life and understand that everything really is funny.
anything that puts a little pep in my step and jiggle in my wiggle. Currently in the 5 disc changer of my mind: Jamie Liddell, Ben Harper, Patty Griffin, Sharon Jones, The Flaming Lips.
Loved Juno, if you haven't seen it- go see it! Even if you're one of those "This is a girly movie and makes me get a little too in touch with my feelings" types. Second pick for the month is gonna have to be The Karate Kid part 1. Awesome music, killer fights and the sacred bond of teacher and student.
shows more commercials than it does shows... although the new season of lost is FINALLY playing... about flipping time!
Currently working through three right now.World War Z: Pretty entertaining. Makes me think of what I'll do when Zombies begin to walk the earth in a cannabalistic crazed feeding frenzy. Weighing my options, I think my best bet is a machete, good running shoes, my super awesome bike Zipper (that's its name- because its so speedy), rope, pocketknife, and some nights spent high in trees until a proper Zombie fortress can be obtained. Let's hope the undead can't climb trees.Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance: Superb. It's taking forever to get through. Obviously a great deal of time was put into writing each paragraph,so I have in turn decided to take a great deal of time reading each and soaking it all in. I highly recommend it for anyone, who like myself, struggles to maintain balance between pragmatism, analysis ,classification and beauty, meaning and art.Walden: I was first introduced to this book 10 years ago and it changed my life. I can't tell how quickly my grades dropped when I saw the futility of highschool and decided life really would be better spent in business with mother nature living alone in a shack up in the mountains (my version of Walden Pond at the time). This is the first I've read it since then and I have to say it's one of the funniest things I've read for some time. Really, Thoreau is definitely sincere in his words but I can imagine him sitting in his cabin and laughing at his need to spell out what, to him, was completely common sense in such extreme ways in order to get a very simple point across. I may be alone on this one...
