About Me

I'm not very good at talking about myself most of the time. I am very good at answering questions, though. Aside from that, I'm mom, a wife and if some of the pics aren't obvious enough, a belly dance performer and instructor. I read a lot (and I do mean a lot!), I'm an aspiring novelist so I write a lot and once you do get me talking, I can talk about anything.
You Are Somewhat Machiavellian
You're not going to mow over everyone to get ahead...
But you're also powerful enough to make things happen for yourself.
You understand how the world works, even when it's an ugly place.
You just don't get ugly yourself - unless you have to! How Machiavellian Are You?

My Interests

Dance (tribal and classical bellydance, classical ballet), Art (Burne-Jones, Rosetti, Waterhouse, Mucha - let's just say the Pre-Raphaelites and their 19th century Romantic counterparts and go from there) books of all kinds, history, toddlers (as I have one), music, movies... Not necessarily in that order.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who is not mean.

Music:

Tori Amos, The Sisters of Mercy, PJ Harvey, Nick Cave, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, The Misfits, Dead Can Dance, Mediaeval Baebes, Siouxsie and the Banshees, White Zombie, Rob Zombie, new wave, goth, industrial, Loreena McKinnet, Lots of opera, lots of 18th century classical, La Nef and a host of other early music, 80s, Tool, The Ramones, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, Neko Case, The Good Be Tanyas, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Cream, Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, Deep Purple, Pigface, Kate Bush, Sting, The Police, Peter Murphy, Love and Rockets, Bauhaus, Joy Division, The Cure, Curve, The Motels, a growing list of tribal and classical belly dance performers.... Movies:

I'm a sucker for a period piece. Star Wars. Lots and lots of drama.

Television:

Not much since "Buffy" ended. CNN. The Food Network. I also have a strange compulsion to watch prison documentaries. If someone could tell me why, that'd be a big help.

Books:

Anne Rice, Terry Pratchett, Dorothy Dunnett... You know, I really read way too much by way too many people for me to try and put it all here. Oh, and most of the stuff that I've written.

Heroes:

Wonder Woman
