Band Members: After 6 - DJ's/House Music Producers and remixers. After 6 are Sharon O Love and Alex Senna have always been around music and they eat, sleep and breathe melodies and house beats.Along with Sharon, Alex has already started his career as a producer with the support from one of the most influential names in house music – Roger Sanchez. Alex works under the guise of Sueno Soul who were signed to Stealth Records and they have released many original tracks such as; A Better Love and Tempo Da Solo, both tracks being listed on Sanchez's 'Release Yourself album last summer. Alex has also done remixes for Roger Sanchez, A Tribe Called Es, The Cube Guys, Mencha and Restless and Volatile to name a few. Alex also DJ's and has played some of the biggest clubs in the word including Miami Space, Pacha Ibiza and Turmills London.Alex and Sharon worked together on the now gone but never forgotten remix of Tracy Chapman's Fast Car in 2004, this was unquestionably one of the biggest house tunes of that year and is still one of the most sought after tracks. After 6 are Nu Breed. Their sound is warm and very creative, uplifting and funky, each track and remix is given full attention and when played in a club creates a flow of energy across the floor, this is house music at its best. They are the ideal studio partners, Alex makes the objective decisions - which riff and sounds to use and can play keyboards and base guitar, Sharon likes to arrange and they both decide what works best in the groove to fine-tune it. They like to use various genres rather than pigeon hole themselves to what we call 'house music', both are influenced by original funk and soul, rock, garage, jazz and much more.
After 6 feat Andy Cook - The Edge
After 6 have certainly made very effort to cross over boundaries here with their funk-rock fused debut track called The Edge. The track is inspired by familiar guitar riffs from the 80's and there is a huge emphasis on a twisted synthed up bass-line that will take any floor over The Edge, this is funked up rock at it's best, vocalist Andy Cook takes us on a hard-hitting journey with his raw vocals about living life on the edge, you can feel the tension yet can't help but get on this ride. After 6 have a unique style which will introduce another direction to all that we call house music, indie floors and house floors alike will celebrate a connection.
Taking you in a completely different direction is After 6's Late Nite Spooning remix - the infectious bass-line and dirty synth sounds get you hooked from the start, Cook's vocals are only a small ingredient but without them this remix would be incomplete. The smooth, exciting bass-line rides us through a cool break, hold you breathe, the drop back into quality beats is huge. Again After 6 manage to cross over genres here offering a merge of electro and tech house and not forgetting a few beautiful strings well placed to offer a soothing melody.AFTER 6 FORTHCOMING RELEASES -September 2007 - After 6 feat.
