BIO:
aka Cyril Boehler represents a new breed of producers from Switzerland, mixing percussive beats, strong melodies and futuristic soundscapes. Zwicker‘s original blend of electronics is a warm mixture of mutated Disco, House, Funk and Electro. His tracks found its way to the label by Chicken Lips man Stevie Kotey, BearFunk, to Get Physical compilations and the renownend Compost Black Label (Germany) where he has become a regular. Ever since Cyrils project Tweak had an underground clubhit with "Fathorn" featuring the electronic fusion with an alpine horn on the swiss label Straight Ahead, Cyril‘s releases have been garnering respect from a wide international circle of fans and his tracks have been consistently finding themselves charted in the playlists of renowned international DJs.
As DJ, ZWICKER has been rocking dancefloors with his own brand of beats with an incomparably wide repertoire, spinning at venues like Zukunft, Hive and Dachkantine (Zürich), Watergate (Berlin), Registratur (Munich). He has dj’d alongside Lindstrom & Prins Thomas, Henrik Schwarz, M.A.N.D.Y. and played festivals like Lethargy and Gurten Festival (Switzerland).
Since his teenage years Cyril has been making film music, including composing many TV jingles and creating soundtracks for feature films. Cyril has also lent his programming talents to remixes for Spektrum, Jamie Lloyd, Minus 8 and Stephan Eicher (Grauzone) and worked on productions with Tony Allen (drummer of Fela Kuti), Lexx Kawabata and Seelenluft.
