"Aut prodesse volunt aut delectare poetae", says Horatius: poets either want to be useful or delight. Why not try to do both?
Born hungarian, grown up in Switzerland, spent some time in Italy - where I picked up my artist name. Early classical piano studies, fell in love with jazz, started playing the drums, bought a synthesizer, got into sequencing music, played in a few groups, started building a studio. Did a couple of records with Sendak, one of the early Swiss rap groups. Then did some soul music with Ashoka. Got into Electronic Music, bought a sampler, a digital mixer, started to work with DAWs. Somehow these things are coming together in these days. Moving back and forth from Grand Piano to the Loop machine, I try to stick with the music and the moment.
I worked with people like Manuel Mind , with whom I did some releases on ATOC (Mind/Tomasi: "Strange Sounds", Nu Wave Hookers : "Rock to the Beat").
Recently, I have worked a lot with Kalabrese ("Chicken Fried Rice" on Perlon, "Rumpelzirkus" on Stattmusik, "Alberto" on Phictiv, Live Tour 2007/08) and Big Zis ("Wott nur tanze" and "Wott nur Slow tanze" on "Dörf alles", 2005; Live Tour 2005/06). Also, 2007 I did some theatre music and sound design for various Schauspielhaus productions ("The Lover", Pinter/Koralnik, with Marton di Katz; "Fernwärme", Finger/Koralnik).
Different productions, appearances and remixes include Kutti MC ("Euro-Dance" and "Alternative Motherfucker" on "Jugend & Kultur", with Kid-Italy), The Ones (of Flawless fame, "Thinking of You" Rmx), Stephan Eicher ("Noise Boys Song" Rmx). Check my blog above for a complete discography.
2008 outlook: more Kalabrese & Rumpelorchestra touring all over the place, solo & NWH live appearances, NWH studio work, some Big Zis preproduction for a new album.
