About Me

A long time ago, in a high school far, far away (unless you have an 865 area code)...a bunch of teenaged-brats liked to twiddle away on cheap musical instruments when they weren't either discussing theology or blowing things up. Two of these teenagers, Patrick Ashe and J Kenyon, ended up going to the same college, where they proceeded to...do pretty much the same crap. They called it Obfuscate Project.
While they made some improvements in both musical and intellectual pursuits (the same can't be said for their recording methods), they spent much of their college days working full-time or studying (oh, the great fun of "the best years of our lives"), and only managed to complete one rough 10-song demo. After graduation, they feigned attempt at becoming what the-pressures-that-be wanted them to become, but neither had much interest.
Thus, Patrick and J decided to start recording both older and newer songs, re-christened themselves Times Zero, and completed an 8-song demo entitled "Constructing the Void." As they were separated by some 2,000 miles, they had to resort to less than favorable recording methods, and took about a year to finally get things done. Better late than never, eh?
Although the latest effort is certainly an improvement, it's still not quite where we want to be (especially on mixing...my tone sounds great out of the amp, but the line-in recording makes the tracks rather thin and "tinny," and the mp3 conversions don't help), plans are underway for more serious efforts (especially considering that J now has Pro Tools and Patrick is resuming study of music theory). Pending a few "day job" options by Patrick, they may soon be in the same general vicinity, and might even get a bona-fide drummer. Time will tell.
This profile is mostly maintained by Patrick Ashe, as J is too cool for myspace. Our website is also very outdated. We'll be making a new one soon. Please e-mail us at [email protected] to request the full demo.

New Intar-webz home for Xzero

J has been quite busy of late, and has created a self-hosted website for our little band (which is much better than that bloody awful geocities site). You can find it at this address: http://timeszero...
