I like people who can be themselves whether I like it or not. I like alternate views of news, religion, politics, history, and science. I enjoy EVE and other MMORPGs (I've been coveting Atriarch for eight years), PC Games like Starcraft, Alpha Centauri, Dungeon Siege, Civilization IV, Master of Orion III, Will Wright games…I can’t wait for Spore to come out. One thing I like about MySpace, is finding great new music. Naturism, nonobjectionification, new ideals of beauty.
This is my shameless geek/fan page. I want to meet people who like gaming, sci-fi, and music. I'm sick to death of the radio; I want to meet people that can turn me on to new music. I often find myself to be too critical; I want to meet some optimists. Of course, I want to meet people that share my interests. Happy couple seeking red headed masseuse (hehe...had to try).
I prefer to give my dollar vote to people who need a dollar, well, and who have something to say. If there's nothing to be said, loud is good. The summer Voyager II got to Neptune, I watched the NASA channel religiously.
Douglas Adams, David Brin, Samuel Clemens, Philip K Dick, Robert Heinlein, George Orwell, Chuck Palahniuk, Hunter Thompson, Henry David Thoreau, Kurt Vonnegut, Howard Zinn. - CJ Cherryh's Merchanter books... I never got into any of her other series (too fantasy oriented), but her merchanter books contain the grittiest, most realistic characters I've read in Sci-Fi. I think it's fitting that EVE is built in a Cherryh universe. - Jerry Pournelle's ideas of early colonization are so realistic, they're painful. The War World stories that he inspired cannot be put down. His idea of a CoDominion is felt in Serenity/Firefly. - I don't care much for Steven King in general, but his Bachman Books are among the best I've ever read. Rage, The Long Walk, Roadwork, and The Running Man (hell of a lot better than the movie) are all very prophetic. . - If you are going to search for the truth, you must be out to prove yourself wrong, not to prove yourself right. I read the sacred texts of all faiths, ancient history, astronomy, archeology, anthropology, sociology, linguistics, fiction dealing with social issues, and science fiction--for pure escape.
