Phar Fletcher is a group of musicians, students of the craft of making and playing music. Categorically speaking, modern rock/alternative would nail it down, but would grossly underestimate the number and variety of influences drawn from to create the sound that defines Phar Fletcher.Growing from influences of power from the likes of Weezer, the Black Crowes, Seattle grunge, and Michael Jackson Maturing from influences of lyrical relevancy and realism from artists such as Charlie Daniels, Kurt Cobain, Brandon Boyd, Ronnie Van Zant, and Eminem Humbled by influences of taste and dynamics from such artists as Sade, The Police, and Vertical Horizon, Phar Fletcher has harvested an anti-generic sound that is easily recognized and related to.In its four years in existence, Phar Fletcher has garnished awards, won battles of bands, opened for some of the hottest national acts, and had songs riding the airwaves. Won awards such as Clear-Channel Broadcastings Shooting Star (rock / March 2004). Pf placed first in the Got Milk battle of the bands, sponsored by MTV and Rolling Stone Magazine in the fall of 2004. In 2005-06, the band opened shows for national acts such as Seether, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Cowboy Mouth, Afroman, and Collective Soul. As a three year veteran of BayFest (Mobile, AL), Phar Fletcher has had five songs to date taste the airwaves out of 97.5 WABB (CHR/POP, Mobile, AL), 101.5 WTKX (Active Rock, Pensacola, FL), 97.9 WCPR (Active Rock, Gulfport, MS) and has been featured in such publications as the Mobile Press Register, the Vanguard, and the Lagniappe.With an ever-intensifying buzz across the region, Phar Fletcher will be leaping into ears and springing from mouths for years to come.I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
