Brad M. Seippel, 23, was born on November 16th, 1984 in Metairie, Louisiana and grew up in St. Tammany Parish on New Orleans’s north shore.. At age 11 his parents encouraged him to play bass guitar and other instruments. Under the encouragement of his parents, his father in particular who shares an interest in playing music, Seippel began to play bass guitar and a self-instructed knowledge of other instruments subsequently followed. As a teenager, Seippel composed his own music taking inspiration from Latin, punk rock and electronic styles. Seippel enrolled in the University of South Alabama in 2003 where he studied foreign languages with a concentration in Spanish. At the time, Seippel briefly played bass in a Louisiana-based hardcore band, sameinsanjuan. Beginning to focus primarily on the production of electronic-based compositions, he started producing music under the alias thruoutin in 2005.One year later, Seippel partnered with fellow Mobilian and electronic producer Ellen B. Terry to form the duo thruoutingenue, a project that combined computer software, male/female vocals, guitar and other electronic hardware. Thruoutingenue’s electronic dance/ballad performances became extremely popular in the local Mobile music scene, developing a loyal young fan base that allowed the duo to tour in larger cities such as Atlanta and New Orleans. This project ended in December 2007 when Seippel obtained his undergraduate degree from USA and made plans to return to Madisonville, LA, where he now resides and continues to develop his music.
