Awesomenessification (tm)

About Me

I was once a glam/goth monster. I hit it hard and I hit it often. I live a somewhat more sedate life now, most definitely cleaner of the chemicals that fueled my former incarnation.
I suppose I could best be described as an artist, although, I have a problem calling myself that. Regardless, even I cannot deny that I'm artistically active. I enjoy most mediums of two dimensional art, I've been trying to branch out into sculpture recently, it's very different. So that would be stuff like graffiti, painting, photo-manip, and especially (silk) screen printing. I even do some crafty things sometimes. Fuck it, no limits, right?
For those that would be interested here's a link to my DeviantArt Page , where you can check out my stuff. You'll see a ridiculous amount of shirts. Such is often the result of an addiction to screen printing. There's also some more "pop art" painted stained glass stuff.
And for any one in Toronto, I do print shirts by request. I'm pretty cheap and my quality is tight. So if you have an idea you think might make a good shirt feel free to contact me and we can kick it around.

My Interests

Art. Gaming. Music. Pride FC. I'm a huge fan of Japanese Animation (I don't feel like calling it anime, so there)

Tattoos have become a much larger part of my life than they had been before.

I hope to expand my interest in Roller Derby (fan not participant) this season.

Oh, and I like to screen print shirts for myself and for others. Anyone interested can message me.

I'd like to meet:

Those that like rock n' roll, custom shirts and ink, not necessarily in that order. Other artists, creative people or appreciators of said.

No blind friendings though. There's gotta be a message. I'm not a collectable.

Music:

Almost any rockabilly or psychobilly, Rev. Horton Heat, The Matadors, Gutter Demons, Judas Priest, Def Leppard, The Used, Muse, NIN, Delays, Pigface, The Butthole Surfers, Taxi Doll, Louis XIV, The Music, West Indian Girl, The Faders, Spoon, Razorlight, Monster Magnet, KISS, My Chemical Romance, Honeymoon Suite, The Duke Spirit, The Charlatans, ACDC, Nirvana, The Darkness, The Prodigy, Marilyn Manson, Lo-Fidelity Allstars, Metric, Static X, Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, The Subways, Metric, The Kills, BRMC, Metallica, Soundgarden, Ministry, RevCo, My Life in the Thrill Kill Kult, The Caesars, STP, Ladytron, Bowie, Queen, The Stooges, Iggy, Motley Crue, The Ramones, OK, I'm bored.

Movies:

Sin City, Fight Club, Jarhead, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Dogtown and the Z-Boys (and even The Lords of Dogtown), kiss kiss bang bang, Snatch, TRON (awesome!), the Mad Max series (nice apocalyptic fun).

Non-English: VidocQ, Immortel (was pretty to watch), Night Watch (the first two parts so far anyway), Kung-Fu Hustle, Ong Bak, City of God

I'm a lover of Korean cinema: Save The Green Planet, (and especially of Chan-wook Park) Old Boy, Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance (that whole Vengeance Trilogy really), Brotherhood of War, JSA

Animated: Appleseed, Perfect Blue, Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, Nausicaa, Spirited Away, Porco Rosso (really anything by Hayao Miyazaki)

Obviously there's a ton missing.

I've just finished the first leg of my 80's movie collection project. It involves about 82 films right now. It shall grow.

Television:

Deadwood, nip/tuck, Entourage, Doctor Who, Heroes, Battlestar Galactica, Lost, Jericho, TPB

Guilty of liking: the various CSI's, Veronica Mars

Animation-wise: Bleach (huge fan), Patlabor, all of the Gundam series (I don't care!), gun x sword, Trigun, Bubblegum Crisis, Initial D, Full Metal Alchemist, Ghost in the Shell (both series (and the 3rd OAV)), Blood+ (totally awesome)

What I plan to watch: far more animation than it seems possible for me to have collected.

Books:

The Baroque Cycle, The Lord Of The Rings, The Dune series, Neuromancer, Mona Lisa Overdrive, Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep, The Vampire Chronicles, Cryptonomicon

Heroes:

Formerly HST but that wasn't going so well and really ended kind of badly so... I have an opening. Anyone up for it?
