Originating from the west coast of Finland, Doggtown released their
first full-length album 'November Road' (Bluelight Records)
on 10/26/2005.
Entirely consisting of original material, the album is an extensive
combination of rootsy, jam-spirited rock from the sixties and the
seventies, seamlessly fused with a more modern sound. In Doggtown's
music, the influences of Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Soundgarden and Red Hot Chili Peppers can be heard living in a perfect harmony. On the album, Doggtown not only remain faithful to their blues roots, but also manage to be 'modern rock' at the same
time.
Much of the tight sound of the band can be attributed to its members'
experience, and of course to the band chemistry, unappologetic
attitude, seeding from the long-lasting co-operation between them.
All the band members' characters come shining through in the
arrangements and the performances. As their personalities can be
heard on the album loud and proud, the equation of all legendary
rock bands is especially true of Doggtown: 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 equals 5.
Right now Doggtown is at Valtone Studios recording their second album.
