Being different in a new culture, I learned and adapted well. Losing much of my Korean culture and language, I grew up knowing an important thing "being different is good". Coming to America was a gift I will owe to my Uncle, a dedicated man in the US Military. On Christmas 1989, at the age of 17, I realized that life was a true gift when I got into a terrible car accident. I was told that I shouldn't of lived; that it was a miracle. After graduating Lakeland high school in 1990, I never looked back and just kept moving forward. I don't take life for granted and I know my time here should be about helping others and giving. I am so at peace with myself, it is the best feeling you can have. I was given another chance to make a difference, here I am ....do you see me? Since going off to college and having a full life of change and moving around with my husband, who is employed by the US Navy, I have become a person who loves change. I am a stay at home mom, mother of 3, ages 11, 8 and 6 and I am married for 12 years to an incredible man. My husband and I share many common interests, but one that keeps our marriage strong is trust and individuality. Being REAL is what I like to find in my relationships with others.
