Hang On With Determination

About Me

Witch/Mom/Wife/Massage Therapist/Tarot Reader/Belly dancer-forever-in-training. Nico and Phoebe's Mama. Jimbone's Old Lady. I was ordained in Feb 2007! No need to call me Reverend. You can call me Cap'n if you like! I always seem to buy my clothes as if they were props.
If one more person asks me about "Happy Endings," I'm going to scream. Seriously, if i offer bodywork, it's NOT cuz i want to jerk you off. A little bit country, hee hee hee. DIY goth/abilly girl. Voted "Least likely to ever be Team Mom." Addicted to the gym now. It's cheaper than a coke addiction. I love my motorcycle. I named her Devil Bettie. If you come to my house, you can be certain that I'm gonna cook something for you and make sure you have a cold beer. I always wear an apron when I cook, and I get made fun of for it. A wierd thing about me is that I HATE food noises! I have to mute the tube during Carl's Junior commercials. I spend the first day of Autumn making pumpkin pie for everyone I love and hearty beef stew. My record for Most Pumpkin Pies in one day is 24. I lived "My Big Fat Greek Wedding." I still don't get the Windex thing, and neither does any Greek person I know. Violin music makes me cry, whether it makes me happy, sad, or simply enthralled. Gypsy violin causes me to whirl and spin. When I have dreams out-of-the-blue about somebody, anybody, it usually means that something big is coming for them. I have a list of 5 "Freebies-" celebrities that I could do it with and not get into trouble. (Don't worry, The Old Man has one too!) I have an out-of-control purse fetish. I thought I'd curbed it when I got the Holy Grail- The Louis Vuitton Large Montsouris Backpack. I love Disneyland. When I say that the kids want to go, I mean I want to go. The Haunted Mansion is my very favorite place in the world. I wanna live there. Honestly.

My Interests

Tarot, The Moon, Metaphysics vs Theology, Middle Eastern (belly) dancing, dressmaking, corsets, swimming skyclad, cooking, hiking. I love meat. Purple candles. Ooh, and I love minor league baseball. GO 51's!! Victorian Halloween stuff. Tambourines. Primal rhythm.

I'd like to meet:

Nivek Ogre, Udo Kier, Joe D'Allesandro, Jim Heath to name a few. Johnny Cash's ghost would be really cool to meet! I want to kiss Kate Bush's collar bone. Know what? I meet amazing people already. There is a purpose to every relationship I have in my life. Trusting Her on this! I've never had casual come-and-go aquaintances! Whomever the Goddess sees fit to send my way, I try to make the best of it, no matter what the outcome. I can tell you that there are people gone from my life that I miss dearly, that I would give anything to be near again. I learned a lesson in March 2006 about being excited to meet someone 'famous'. He turned out to be a weenie. *cackle*

Had a mad sex dream about Javier Bardem that night. It might have been the weird hair...I just recently saw a snapshot of him picking his nose, so nevermind. But I digress...

Television:

Kinda disappointed with tv. I turn it on for noise in the morning, when I get ready for my day. And, since I don't have time to read the paper, I can check out the weather forecast, etc. My new favorite chanel is History International. They have some good documentaries and about spooky stuff. On more than one, I've heard The Changelings, so that's pretty cooL! None of you guys must be paying attention to this, because no one told me I was a dumbass for putting "whether" when it should have been "weather." Thanks! I'm such a tool. Old episodes of MADTV are good. Ummm, yeah. Not much else.

Books:

James Joyce's Ulysses (yes), Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass, Dracula, Wuthering Heights,Horace Walpole's Castle of Otranto, Luisa Teish's Jambalaya, A Witches' Bible Complete by Stewart and Janet Ferrar, ANYTHING by Raven Grimassi, Poppy Z Brite's Dead Souls, Jeanine Parvati-Baker's Hygeia, Grandmother's Secrets by Rosina-Fawzia Al-Rawi, Lord Byron, Anais Nin, The Lucky Lawrences, Edgar Allen Poe, The Vampire Chronicles, The Mayfair Witches, books about Jack The Ripper, Trailguide to The Body, Trigger Point Therapy for Myofascial Pain, Cottage Witchcraft, Urban Tantra, Wiccan Healing. GloomCookie, Scary Godmother, Hellboy, Morpheus, The Crow comics. Frank Miller comics are amazing and FINALLY getting the recognition they deserve!

Heroes:

My Mom, who had to be Mom AND Dad since 1989. May She Rest in Peace (1947-2005). My Brothers for being the two men in my whole life that have never waivered and for reminding me from time to time where I come from. It's the little things that count, People, not huge heroic gestures. Jimbone for taking good care of us and supporting me while I went to school so I could still concentrate on The Family. He sacrifices every day to put the wellbeing of the Wee Ones first. My High Priestess for never sugar coating the Truth about everything from The Craft to her opinion on diamonds.
