True story: There once was an Indian monk who traveled to China to spread Ch'an - his name was Da Mo by the way - and he paid a trip to Mister Emperor Man (doesn't matter which one. Well no, it wasn't the Qing Emperor. He was a prick.). The Emperor asked him "what is Ch'an" and I guess he expected this monk to give him a straight answer (lesson one: monks never give straight answers). Da Mo sort of went off the deep end and told the Emperor that Ch'an is nothing (it really is) and that everything is nothing (yup). The Emperor (you're still paying attention, right? Good.) didn't like this "nothing" crap and he threw the scruffy monk out the door. But Da Mo was lucky, because nearby was the Small Forrest temple. These guys are awesome; they're down with that nothing stuff. So he goes there and they're not doing so hot; they're not super saiyan or any kind of that super monk stuff. What gives, right? So Da Mo has this bright idea to go to a nearby cave and he just sat in there for 9 years. All he did was look at a wall and meditate. I guess he was expecting a different outcome because the dude fell asleep. Go figure, right? Though he didn't go to sleep until 7 years in, and that's gotta count for something.
Anyway, he was snoozin when he was supposed to be getting - I guess - his oneness on with the universe so he could make these monks badasses. Da Mo was pretty mad about this whole thing, so he goes outside and rips his eyelids off so he wouldn't fall asleep anymore and up pops the first tea plants. Pretty cool, huh? Tea, monks, Ch'an... Da Mo was an awesome guy. Now if only this story had some pandas in it... oh well.
I am a medical student majoring in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I have numerous certifications in nutritin and the healing arts. I tend to write a lot, managing 3 blogs, and - since I work as a health counselor - a monthly newsletter. Obviously I am a computer dork, a video game dork, and a dork of many other things and I love it.
As you can see, my myspace page is a sort of digital playground for me (it looks like a regect website from the 90's, I know); a bulletin board for me to throw all of my interests onto and see just how much more I can add until it explodes. You won't find out much about me here, but instead you find out what I like, what I support, and what I am amused by. I simply can not bring myself to take this thing even remotely serious enough to write some drawn out bio about myself. Maybe some day this page will see some sort of order and tidyness, but I doubt that will be anytime soon (instead, maybe I'll just wait for everyone to get tired of this buggy thing and move on to the next big social networking site.... maybe).

Like minded people, certainly. Hackers, Phreakers, Japanese school girls, martial artists, and activists. Girls that wear garter belts (oh boy...!), as well as RSS junkies (and documentary junkies like moi), practitioners of complementary and alternative medicine, and anyone that reads Sinfest or No Exit.
I respect and appreciate individuals who understand the dynamics of conversation and try equally to add to it. What I don't like are individuals that try to be friendly and then I never hear from them ever again. It's a mad world out there, so let's stick together, ne?

I wouldn't mind meeting other people that are members of the Human Rights Campaign , and Americans United For Seperation of Church and State , Free Press . and anyone involved in the fight against the New World Order! ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------
