Life always matters to somebody

About Me

My name is Stacey...bla bla bla. laughpunches the air with her fisthold thumbs! but now that I'm up here I have to say that its ALMOST as beautiful as the Cape, and I think I'll be sticking around for a while...Although, England is beckoning, so I might even end up there. ANYHOO, Im living in a girls res about 5 min walk from the varsity, which is lots of fun EVERYDAY!! I cant wait to move into my own house tho, which will one day be full of horses, dogs (cats..ahem) and hopefully tiny people (it wasnt just an art bug that bit me but a "i love children bug").

My Interests

Many things have become a part of me over the years... Loves include Jesus(my hero) writing, eating, horses (the way they breathe on my neck and have the power to see right through me ), Lisa Gerrard (check out "Gladiator" soundtrack if you don't know what I mean), clouds, worship, painting, jumping around...reading historical novels.

I'd like to meet:

Just anyone interesting; im happy to hear whatever you have to say, as long as you are happy to listen back ;-)

Music:

I just love music in general. Most of all though, greatest influences include the original music by Sarah MacLachlan, Brooke Fraser, India Arie, Norah Jones, Counting Crows, Carlos Santana and Marc Cohn. Also, Hillsong, Planetshakers, Jars of Clay, Casting Crowns and my home team, Proxy Worship from Table-View AOG. Im a huge New Altum fan, not just because their music is AMAZING, but because they are all great guys making a big difference in their community. I also collect soundtracks from movies, the really good stuff! Big fan of composers Hans Zimmer, Harry Gregson Williams, James Horner, Dario Marianelli and James Newton Howard. Jazz and Swing is great too, the more golden oldie the better... Etta James, Harry Connick Jnr, Ottis Redding, Frankie Sinatra, Glen Miller and Benny Goodman.

Movies:

X-Men, Top Gun, Chronicles of Riddick (vinnie is my man), 5th Element, Lord of the Rings (soundtrack rocks). Man on Fire was also HEC-Tic. I also love all of the old disney classics - beauty and the beast, aladin, jungle-book, lion king, THE LAND BEFORE TIME!!!! Oh my HAT what a a beautiful soundtrack. ANd my little mermaid...its the romance guys, come on.

Television:

Definately Prison Break, ER, JAG, Navy NCIS and CSI (Las Vegas is THE best one). My all time favourite, however, is Smallville. Don't get much time to watch TV these days tho, maybe a really good thing in the long run. Rather read a book (or watch Discovery channel haha). Or STUDY!!!!!

Books:

The bible...I used to read alot of sci-fi, like Anne MacCaffrey and the entire Dune series. I really like the Zion Covenant series by Bodie Theone.

Heroes:

Jesus Christ my best friend. My mum and my dad, who continue to support me through all of my indecision. Tina, my second mom, who, besides being the greatest drama queen i know, has taught me some valuable and unforgettable lessons.

My Blog

Passivity is out!

I have been in a state of apathy the last few weeks... how frustrating! What i want most of all is to realise the dreams I know God has for me, and to let Him mould them for me and take care of my fut...

The bliss of randomness

So many grievances and protests arise and we see people come and go.  Perhaps we shall never be the same as we once were, on that first day.  The day we set foot upont the purest grounds eve...
