MySpace Crazy Text - Create your own today!(PLEASE PLAY THE MUSIC VIDEO WHILE READING MY STORY........THANKS!!!)..................................... ......... My new club is not consisting of any band members individually but as a collective act of guitarists and interests. All musicians that are interested feel free to contact me as I have projects that need to begin. Please notify me if you are interested in joining my club. I have been a guitarist for ten years. Most of my exposure has been in the city of Charleston, S.C. where I resided on Folly Beach for six years. I began my pursuit of a musical career even as a child banging on Mothers piano. My professionalism and ideas took shape with a Takamine G330 Acoustic guitar special, that mother and I both took advantage of when I was seventeen, in order to learn how to play guitar together. Of course she could already read music. However, with a couple of buddies in college studying music, and many campfires of back panel guitar drum solos, I found myself on an endless pursuit of a musical dream. My dream grew throughout college, with influences stemming from classic rock band history insights, to the ever infamous jam band "Phish" It just happened they were at a career peak during my college years of 1997-2001. I studied how these guys built a traveling spectrum and fantasy to spectators as well as dependent members of festival family lifestyle. From roots such as Led Zeppelin, Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers Band, Pink Floyd...and all other great festival tour bands, I found myself almost starving for a chance to create these fanatical dreams. And I do mean fanatical. If I may, I am a dreamer. So after College I moved to Folly Beach, where I started a small project titled "The Carousel Turbulence" (Drums-LEE BROWNLOW, Lead Guitar/Vocals-IAN GRIFFIN, Rhythm and Lead Guitar/Vocals-MYSELF, Bass Guitar/Back-up vocals-PRESTON.....whereabouts unknown.........roaming Charleston so the story goes.) Let me iterate, I went to many open-mic nights, at the original "Pour House", now, Charleston's most "Home Grown" music venue, after reviews. It was here, I met a good fellow named Alex, owner of the Pour House, whom had made acquaintances with friends of mine from college before I ever entered the picture. What a learning experience that turned out to be. With little knowledge of pure musical structure you can imagine how hard it was for me to convince anyone of a myth of freedom and fantasy and any musical skills. However, my dedication to my band members kept them interested, along with many fun-filled days of sunning on the beach with girls, coolers, parties......etc......and all that goes with it. Post Carousel Turbulence, and my first live gigs at the Local "Mellow Mushroom" thanks Johnny and Mike, I was able to break some ice as a musician. From there only my dedication could prove beneficial. It was apparent that skills had reached a limit for the "Turb" as we called it. Mostly from my point of view. The original music ideas were great, and even some cover work went well, but to be blunt, it was time for lessons. College campfires, and scribble pads had reached there peak. I am still friends with two of the members. We were four. Two guitars, drums, and bass. Anyway, with money saved and wild acts of glory and some new equipment, my prior fellow guitarist and I remained roommates, and began a mini-studio project there on the beach, and I started studying Jazz. For several months, I focused with little interruptions from the outside world. Let me emphasize, I am not signed by major labels, but I feel I am on the brink of new things. I am twenty seven years old, and now play a custom hollow body guitar built by the "Abyss Guitar Company". Check out the website www.abyssguitars.com. I can help if you are interested in products. Kevin, my luthier, and the homemaker of the Abyss Guitar company and I became acquaintances during my spell on Folly Beach. My twenty fifth birthday marked the beginning of my true guitar profession. I felt having a guitar that was built in reference to my favorite influences and new customs, may mark a potential moment in history, as well as separating me from just an amateur league of musicians. I love all musicians, but I take it very seriously. I haven't performed live in about a year now. Following an opportunity to be part of the Grand Opening of a Charleston Guitar Center, my professional development was really starting to feel realistic. As musicians we all know how much we love the Guitar Center. Well I found myself head deep in Guitars and amplifiers. All I wanted all day long. It turns out, playing and selling are just too competitive, for one individual. I structured a temporary project to help market with some buddies of mine from work, and we called it "The Sofa Kings" (Lead/Rhythm Guitar and Vocals-MIKE GRIMM, Bass Guitar and back-up vocals-RYAN KEARNS, Drums/Solo Guitar, and Vocals-MATT HAMILTON, Keyboards-DAN MUSCHLER, and myself Lead/Rhythm Guitar and Vocals.......didn't know about "Leaving Las Vegas"..or the band in Canada), but still loved the name. These guys made it happen for me. Thank you so very much, and I love all of you. I have plans for my third major project, which is moving slowly. In the meantime, I need to meet as many musicians as possible. After walking away from the Guitar Center, having hosted the largest party ever on Folly Beach with live music, and the birth of my guitar, which I have labeled Lucius, for various artistic value and culture, and closing "The Sofa King" project, it brings us current. Now when I say party, I mean, Ice Luge, Kegs, Magic "air" etc, etc,........party permits, and just plain craziness. We played off my back deck, which was elevated above my half acre of beach grass. Barely rehearsed, my friends and I played into the night, with various local guests, and before honored guests from Guitar Center. I must say that I am extremely, humble. And not a millionaire. However, great things are churning for all those I have been acquainted. "The Chronicles of the Land Squid", "The Graham Whorley Band", along with other artists are very talented friends of mine. Both bands can be viewed on My Space, as well as personal web sites. I would also like to interest you in "The Charleston Crystal Ball". This is the latest in live web camera entertainment, for this region. I must say what began as friends hanging out, running sound, and printing homemade fliers, with the original name "Big Fish Productions", is now a live market. Please refer to www.charlestoncrystalball.com for full details. Yes this is part of my roots as well. I am very proud of these guys as they have seen this thing through, of course with much work to do. "Apple" is a proud sponsor of the web camera service. Please contact me if you are aware of venues that may be interested. My crystal ball dedication minimized after work began at Guitar Center. Little time for everything! I had to pick my battles. Well, now all things spoken, and underway, I am now looking for dedicated members to help me build a club. "The Lucius Guitar Club". All members will be given opportunities to help me create this dream. My goal is to share time with musicians, mainly guitarists at first to share knowledge and insight. What will begin as just club members, will hopefully end in a live performance venue, with esteemed colleagues, and open stage opportunity. It is only an idea at the moment, but that is how dreams are born. If you are a true musician, there is no definition for the word "dream". You just have to do it. I am very excited to meet new people. Please contact this site for now, as I am not prepared for an army of musicians all at once. Forgive me if I sound cocky, it is not my intention. I have many things I need to work on and complete. All I am saying is that there are people and tools at my hands as needed. Good people, very talented, and very dedicated. As the Army of The United States of America sends a message, so shall I with great revolutionary music from all walks of life that I can be a part of. I am a leader. I need an army. If you think you have what it takes............let me know. Maybe I can learn from you. I love to play music.......and haven't played enough lately. Mechanics and structure are important as music is a business as well as it is.......fun, and creating sound. Make no mistake.......I am for real. And the best is yet to come. Power to the people, Power From God to the People, May God bless music, and our country as without this war, we may not even be able to play music with electricity in the future. Gather your thoughts, collect your music and ideas, and bring them to me. I need your love and power for things to grow. Please let me iterate, I only want to meet folks who care about what they do and who they are. ................"this could be made into a monster, if we all pull together as a team"...................au revoir, and God speed. I am looking forward to it. Once contact begins, I will notify the interests. Your own incentive is the key to your success. Let us start with a greeting. Salutations! and thank you for reading my story. I am blessed. -Danny Lewis Hammond Jr.

As business takes heed.........maybe finances can be discussed. Thanks to the recent pay raise for musicians for my space tunes.......now is the time to take advantage of marketing ourselves.....and giving back what my space has given to us. This club is designed to create multiple band projects to sieze the market with great music and a maybe one day, a homemade venue to feature all house and club bands along with there friends and families at a later date. With many members this club will create multiple bands, allowing opportunities to become available to musicians who are having a hard time finding fellow musicians to work with. This is my goal. Please be aware that things take time. It starts with dedication and commitment. Next, comes talent. Then, comes practice. Finally, you perform. Simple is that. Influences:
MySpace Crazy Text - Create your own today! My influences stem from all areas of music. To label one band, would be absurd. I enjoy what 1983 had to offer during my lifetime, although I was only four, what a year. I would like to give it up, or "away now" to the "Red Hot Chili Peppers" and "The Police" after appearing on the 49th Grammy Awards. My latest influence. All walks of the Classic rock era have influenced my musical taste and interest. As a guitarist, this is easily understood. However, Jazz roots are extremely important and almost a must in this day and time if you plan to play in the big league. The blues, well, you name, I like it. Okay, yes, Stevie Ray Vaughn. Let us not forget, Otis Redding, and of course B.B. King. You have to dig deep, and I am not sure there any musicians I don't like. Some less than others of course. Funk is a must, as I like to dance, and I like to watch people dance. The bass guitar influences my love for music. Its what makes me want to play guitar. And drums set the pace. Lets not forget Jon Bonham, and Jon Fishman. Of course, Stewart Copeland, Tony Markellis, Artimus Pyle, Nick Mason........and others. Forgive me as its impossible for me to list everyone..........! I love the Talking Heads.......hate I missed them. Too Young. The Sound Defects really move me, along with Air. I will not quote each band I list. With all due respect, please forgive me. There is more, but I will stop here. I will update later, as it changes a lot. The roots, funk, rock, jazz, and blues. Bluegrass sold separately...........Just Kidding. I love Bluegrass as well. Let's not forget hip hop, as it has led the industry for quite some time.Boston
