was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and grew up during the golden age of hip hop exploring it’s many diffrent avenues until he found his calling as both a poet and lyricist..... LOST SOUL began his musical journey during a time in which racial tensions gripped New York City and injustice was everywhere. Many of his friends fell through the crack of the system and if not for the intervention of a neighborhood friend LOST SOUL would had surely suffered a similiar fate. That friend was "PARADISE THE ARCHITECT" who not only at one time ran the legendary hip hop spot "LATIN QUARTERS" but who would also go on and become a member of the original "X-CLAN." After only one conversation LOST SOUL joined the "BLACKWATCH MOVEMENT" becoming the first Latino to do so and began to learn things that would later shape him politically, musically, poetically, and spiritually..... LOST SOUL was mentored and even traveled with the most conscious collective in hip hop history learning personally from such greats as the late "PROFESSOR-X", "X-CLAN", "ISIS" now known as "LIN QUE" , "QUEEN MOTHER RAGE", and "YZ"..... He also learned under the guidance of the late controversial Black activist "SONNY CARSON" himself along with other prominent elders of the movement! He was learning as much as he can about the many roadblocks and struggles facing not just Black but Latino youth. He also met "LORD PHOENIX" with whom just a few years later would form "DA LAST SUPPAH" in late 1997. He also met "LORD BLESS" during his time with "BLACKWATCH" who has an hip hop video show called "BLESS ME VIDEOS" (until his sudden death in early 2008) in which LOST SOUL has appeared and performed numerous times through out the years..... LOST SOUL after his time with the "BLACKWATCH MOVEMENT" was a founding member of the underground group "DA LAST SUPPAH" and had a song called "DARK DAYS" that was played years ago on New York radio station "HOT 97" who at the time had a show called "HOME JAMS" which showcased unsigned artist originally hosted by "FLAVOR FLAV" and later by "DENNIS RIVERA." The song was from an album entitled "TALES OF A LOST SOUL" that was never released and the frustration of that made him step back and re-examined what would be next for him..... The call of the microphone was just too strong to resist after spending a few years dedicated to writing poetry he returned to the studio with long time producers "SIR K", & "LORD PHOENIX", and started to come back with all new material! In the summer of 2007 he added new team of producers in the members of "BROTHER HOOD 603" a group of underground rappers and producers originally from Sunset Park, Brooklyn whose members include "AREWHY, THANOS, AUTOMATIK, GAMBIT, HENNY HERON, and DJ TECH"... LOST SOUL is gathering an arsenal of very raw, personal, and emotionally filled lyrics that can be felt over head banging tracks like "DEAR ANGEL" a moving tribute to his youngest brother who suddenly passed away in late 2006. Another stand out track is "RHYTHM AND RAGE" in which he delivers a lyrical assault with no remorse along with "THANOS" and "AREWHY" on a track that was produced by then 19 year old "GAMBIT." There’s also "A POETS PAIN" where he points fingers directly at those who have done him worng. His grass roots background and battles with his personal demons show in every verse, you believe what he is saying on every level whether you have lived it or not! The heart of a poet cries out for justice as LOST SOUL speaks his herat, his mind, and his life..... Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, to the youth and elders who fight for justice and order, the dark poet has arrived and he has not come alone BROTHER HOOD is the tree and LOST SOUL is the branch that reaches out to touch the lives of many as only a true poet should. Recently BROTHER HOOD 603 released their second mixtape entitled GRAND THEFT AUDIO: NEW YORK CITY STORIES in which LOST SOUL is featured on 3 songs, (THE TRI FORCE, TRUE LIES, & WE'RE FROM BROOKLYN) and the mixtape can be purchased online on myspace via snocap and features production by THANOS & GAMBIT of BROTHER HOOD and SEARFINO & GARY GNU of FIRST REPS who are also producing LOST SOUL's upcoming solo release entitled "DREAMS DIE HARD!"The Brother Hood is 4 eye to eye mother fuckers that know what we speak and only speak what we know, and all we know is Hip-Hop!!! We all realize what the game is lacking today and that is true rhyming skills and hot to death beats! Not that watered down Hip-Hop about fancy houses that rappers can only rent for thier videos, $100,000 cars that they dont own, $25,000 worth of diamonds on their teeth,or rocks on our earsthesize and color of jaw breakers... If we get thatkindof money it's all good, because dont get us wrong everybody wants to live good and take care of our families but you wont hear us talking that non realistic shit in our rhymes... There is too many real subjects out there to talk about and if other emcees want to talk that blingy, merry go jingle, acting silly, washed up snap rap go ahead be our guest, cause were going to be right here to kill that brainwashing style of music so consdier yourselves warned! This family breaks down into four emcee’s and four producers...The first emcee is Thanos the Infinty Gaunlet a.k.a. the Warlord of Titan, the second emcee is Arewhy a.k.a. the Hustle God, the third emcee is Lost Soul a.k.a. the Dark Poet, and finally there is Freddy Cee a.k.a. the Skull Crusher! The producers are Thanos, Arewhy, Gambit, and Freddy Cee... Thanos and Arewhy are blood brothers so we often make beats together
