OVERQUALIFIED COMING EARLY 2008...... (The Following is NOT written by junclassic. I ain't even gon TRY an front like I came up with this ill ish... Respeck to my dude and A&R... the one.. the only... the mysterious... the wraith... l8Sho...)Why have a crappy, outdated home studio taking up space in your apartment if you can't make a soon-to-be-underappreciated indie record? Why have a MySpace page if you can't bug your pseudo-friends ad nauseum about listening to your hot, new, poorly-streaming songs? These and other questions will be answered on OverQualified, the new album from Queens, NY MC Junclassic -- which I am (Ill Ass Producer... my man L8Sho, cosigned by ya dude junclassic 10000% percent... ya herd herd Big Bird?) producing in it's entirety. (Free time? Plenty.) We had so much fun making this record and are so proud of it (L8Sho speak fa yaself! hahahah... jus kiddin my n-word...), that we're not afraid to let it all hang out. To which, I've posted some outtakes and a couple of instrumentals that, ultimately, didn't make the cut, but will help you share in the process (check the L8SHO MYSPACE PAGE for various outtakes, alternate endings and ultimately cutting room floor 2" reels and DAT tapes scrapings...). In the end, OverQualified is all about the process, the struggle, the "making of." We really let the seams show on this one. It's raw, serious, goofy, often very personal and we hope you enjoy it. Hopefully, it'll be available early 2008 (Its coming meng... don't worry l8Sho), but in the meantime, check out "The Promo", a homage-paying joint to the Jungle Brothers/Q-Tip promo from back in the day.
