Vita, sine literis, mors est.

About Me

I believe that life without learning is death. I believe Emerson had it right when he said to speak in hard words what you believe though it may contradict what you said the day before or what you might say in the day to come.

My Interests

Think of this profile as the front cover to my blog.

Subscribe to my blog and invite me to subscribe to yours.

Natural disasters, extreme weather, thoughtcrime, Post-Modernism, esotericism, counter-culture, dystopias, alchemy, gnosticism, all the 'ologies, history, philosophy, art in all its forms, mind control, objective reality, occultism, etc.

Give me the ideas inside the words. Give me the knowledge behind the trivia. Show me the picture the symbol tries to represent.

I'd like to meet:

I want to meet people who are wise. There is a world of vital information out there. I want to know what you know.

I want to meet people who are willing to take action even when it's against overwelming odds.

Music:

System Of A Down, The Doors, Disturbed, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, NIN, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, CCR, Howling Wolf, Leonard Cohen, Metallica, Papa Roach, old Green Day, Rise Against, Rancid, Rage Against the Machine, White Zombie, Rob Zombie, Joan Osborne, Johnny Cash, U2, Smashing Pumpkins, Biohazard, Live, Korn, Eminem, Linkin Park, Static X, Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, Sugar Ray, Beck, Beethoven, Collective Soul, Offspring, et al.

Jodorowski is a lunatic genius director!...His movies: Fando y Lis, Holy Mountain, El Topo, Tusk, Santa Sangre, The Rainbow Thief, and The Sons of El Topo.

Television:

I don't watch much TV, but there are a few shows I like. If I get the chance I watch Criminal Minds and House. I also watch the news. Commercials drive me mad, so if I have the choice I'll usually just watch a movie.

Books:

I enjoy the strange and experimental. Although I can get lost in a typical novel, nothing floors me more than plucking the next great book from the shadows. Anymore, I seem to read more nonfiction dealing with emergency management type stuff.

Here are a few of my favorite authors.

Nietzsche, Aldous Huxley, George Orwell, Charles Bukowski, Jack Kerouac, Kurt Vonnegut, Chuck Palahniuk, Herman Hesse...

Heroes:

People with grit and heart.

Someone once asked me:

"Why you dying to live, instead of living to die."

Periodically I ask myself that same question and it throws everything up in the air. There's something to be said for a question like that.
