My family,
my band,
my job,
martial arts (haven't trained in years, but still very interested),
computer games (UT2004 kicks ass!),
the occasional beer
and staying alive for as long as possible without dying!
Any drummers, musicians or IT nerds who don't mind me talking muso/techie bollocks at them!
Mainly Metal and Punk....
Metal, Thrash, Death Metal, Black Metal, Oi, Anarcho, Hardcore, Grindcore, Gore, etc. etc.
Basically all sub genres apart from nu-metal, emo and pop-punk (which are basically punk/metal for people who don't like punk/metal)
I also listen to Classic Rock, Goth, Industrial (EBM, Electronica, Noise), Avante Garde, Jazz, Blues, Classical, some Hip-Hop/Trip Hop, and some of the more intelligent dance music (not that there's a lot of it about!)
Horror, Sci-Fi, Martial arts and Comedy...but only if I can't find something more producive to do!
I try to avoid TV, it's generally rubbish!
I have lots of books on programming languages, which would bore the crap out of you unless you were a paid geek like me!
I also like to read books by Hunter S Thompson, Anton Szandor LaVey, Frederich Nietsche, Stephen Hawking, Noam Chomsky, Terry Pratchett (Discworld), JRR Tolkein, Stephen K Hayes, Dr Masaaki Hatsume, Ashida Kim and many many more...
My Parents (for having me!)
My wife (for HAVING me! he he, regularly!)
My grandparents (RIP)
The rest of my family for putting up with me for so long!
Bill Hicks (RIP)
Bruce Lee (RIP)
Anton Szandor LaVey (RIP)
Dimebag Darrell (RIP)
Chuck Schuldiner (RIP)
Doc (Vader drummer RIP)
Jackie Chan
Dr Masaaki Hatsume
Not to forget the rhythm masters:
Neil Peart
Bill Ward
Danny Carey
Thomas Haake
Vinnie Paul
Dave Lombardo
Derek Roddy
Pete Sandoval
And countless other drummers whose bands have influenced me over the years.
Marcus, Shaun, Mike, and Tristan. My bandmates in Downfall.
Ivor, our techie/soundman/artist/photographer/all round guru!
Oh and the rest of the Dev team at Creative Learning Media for putting up with my constant farting and belching in the office, my knack for finding esoteric and mystical bugs in source code - (normally my own code, admittedly) and my cocky shield-gun frags and flag captures on UT2004 at lunchtime!
