Why can't we give love that one more chance?

About Me

I'm a sweet, smart, sensitive, spiritual, creative, compassionate, and easy going guy; a self-fulfilling prophecy of endless possibilty. I run a street-level marketing and promotions company and I'm also a DJ, photographer, vegetarian, social change activist, and love warrior. I dig music, film, full moons, hand-brewed coffee, sweet tea, city sunsets, spontaneous road trips, and the Tao Te Ching.

My Interests

Nothing is more powerful than beauty in a wicked world -Amos Lee

There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. -Albert Einstein

Every decision you make—every decision—is not a decision about what to do. It’s a decision about Who You Are. When you see this, when you understand it, everything changes. You begin to see life in a new way. All events, occurrences, and situations turn into opportunities to do what you came here to do. Glorify who you are today, do not condem who you were yesterday, and dream of who you can be tomorrow. - Neale Donald Walsch

Remember, we are all affecting the world every moment, whether we mean to or not. Our actions and states of mind matter, because we're so deeply interconnected with one another. Working on our own consciousness is the most important thing that we are doing at any moment, and being love is the supreme creative act. -Ram Dass

In detachment lies the wisdom of uncertainty... in the wisdom of uncertainty lies the freedom from our past, from the known, which is the prison of past conditioning. And in our willingness to step into the unknown, the field of all possibilities, we surrender ourselves to the creative mind that orchestrates the dance of the universe. -Deepak Chopra

You cannot do a kindness too soon, for you never know how soon it will be too late. The only way to have a friend is to be one. People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character. The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, nor the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when you discover that someone else believes in you and is willing to trust you with a friendship. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

You must be the change you wish to see in the world. The only tyrant I accept in this world is the still voice within. I have learned through bitter experience the one supreme lesson to conserve my anger, and as heat conserved is transmuted into energy, even so our anger controlled can be transmuted into a power that can move the world. When you make yourself into zero, your power becomes invincible. Do not believe in telling people of one's faith, especially with a view to conversion. Faith must be lived, and when it is, it becomes self-propagating. -Mahatma Gandhi

We should not pretend to understand the world only by the intellect. The judgement of the intellect is only part of the truth. The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: If there is any reaction, both are transformed. Your vision will become clear when you look into your heart. Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside awakens. -Carl Gustav Jung

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believ in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it. - Buddha

I'd like to meet:

I'm looking to connect with like-minded, kind hearted folks on the path toward spiritual and self enlightenment. I'm down with rebels who dance to the beat of their own drum and those seeking out a higher truth. Artists, activists, poets, dreamers, and counterculture (r)evolutionaries please step to the front of the line.

You are The Lovers

Motive, power, and action, arising from Inspiration and Impulse.

The Lovers represents intuition and inspiration. Very often a choice needs to be made.

Originally, this card was called just LOVE. And that's actually more apt than "Lovers." Love follows in this sequence of growth and maturity. And, coming after the Emperor, who is about control, it is a radical change in perspective. LOVE is a force that makes you choose and decide for reasons you often can't understand; it makes you surrender control to a higher power. And that is what this card is all about. Finding something or someone who is so much a part of yourself, so perfectly attuned to you and you to them, that you cannot, dare not resist. This card indicates that the you have or will come across a person, career, challenge or thing that you will fall in love with. You will know instinctively that you must have this, even if it means diverging from your chosen path. No matter the difficulties, without it you will never be complete.
