Being born and bred in the UK has not stopped Shveta from reaching deep in to her Indian roots. Since the age of 5, her father (Ashok Vij) has taught her Indian classical music, and this has most certainly influenced her unique way of combining a classical sound with a contemporary one.
'Music for the music' has always remained Shvetas motto, and nothing has ever stopped her fascination in to exploring music to new levels. It is only recently that she has begun to share her unspoken-for talent alongside Tigerstyle, who are arguebly one of the most talented Asian artists in the UK.
Her first influx of recognition on a wider scale has come by her feature on a Dharmik album, Shaheedi 400 - "Saint Solider" and Shaheedi "Panj". Between these releases, in October 2006, Shveta sung as part of a unique live performance by Tigerstyle at the BBC Electric Proms, alongside other artists including Gunjan, Raghav, Des-C, The Dhol Foundation, Sharifa Shi and many more.
Other releases include a track on Blitzkriegs new album entitled "Spell On Me", which has already been broadcasted through BBC Radio One. Shveta is also featured on Tigerstyle's much anticipated album, scheduled to release later this year, as well as on another album with DBoy.
