Jeff Brent's piano playing in this intimate trio setting exemplifies the essence of the Jazz Pianist's craft.
Not only does he pay musical tribute to Jazz's finest keyboard artists, he lends such energetic passion to the music that he makes it all his own.
And when he sings, you can feel his love for the art overflowing with emotion and good humor. You hear in his distinctive voice how deeply moved he is by a great melody. Nobody sings like Jeff.
The rhythm section, with Mark Lyons on bass (whose credits include playing with Dizzy Gillespie and Lionel Hampton) and Mike Davidson (played drums with both Count Basie and Bill Evans), form a tight swinging unit that puts the wind in Brent's sails, making an evening with this piano trio an unforgettable musical experience.
