We are definitely not the person we think we are

About Me

I am a 45 year old cartoonist/illustrator/artist/curator/teacher...and I guess I'm also a philanthropist (I give alot of money to people on the street).I'm not really into the whole MYSPACE thing but there are a few people who I respect who are, so I thought I would climb aboard. Though I have many TRUE friends, I have not asked them to be listed here because I don't want to hassle them over something so stupid. Yes, I think Myspace is stupid. But I do alot of things that are stupid such as eating red meat and having bad relationships, so why should this be any different?......Tom (below) is not my friend. I don't know who Tom is. Why did he place his photo on my profile? It was mighty presumptuous of him to assume he could be my friend just because he works for MySpace. I fear that MySpace might just be part of an evil mind control empire.Important things you should know about me are, that I like peanut butter, I can't sing very well, but I can touch my tongue to my nose.Though I refuse to assemble one of those interminable myspace lists of esoteric books, films and music in hopes that people will think I'm highly hip and literate, I did make an attempt, below left, to assemble a list of my most important interests and pursuits. If anyone out there would like to join me in any of these, please feel free to let me know!

My Interests

Tree bark, corks, tuna fish, sleep depravation, pet hair, road rage, identifying subway odors, Jewish guilt.

I'd like to meet:

A seventeen foot flying woman with lobster claw hands that shoots laser beams out of her eyes while laying golden faberge' eggs. That would be cool.

Music:

The tone-deaf chorus of voices in my head that sings "Kung Fu Fighting" over and over...

Movies:

Any and all Drivers Education Training Films, Conair's "Haircuts at Home," Red Cross CPR Training Video.

Television:

Emergency Broadcast System Test Patterns, The 5 a.m. Farm Market Report, PBS Pledge drives.

Books:

The Yellow Pages for Camden, New Jersey, Lillian Vernon Catalogs, Postal Regulations Manual, any Major Appliance Warranty Booklet, IKEA Furniture Assembly Instruction Booklets.

Heroes:

My 13 year old chihuahua, Sophie......... Gracie the cat, who I found living in a cardboard box in a parking lot, and all animals like her who are in need of rescue... People who go out there every day and work and support their families even though it often can be a living hell out there....and my father, may he rest in peace, who was one of those people......and those who are self-reflective, take stock of themselves and their lives, and take personal responsibility for how their actions effect others, as well as how their own actions effect themselves (it's surprising how rare such people are).....Ultimately, my heroes are any people who think of other people besides themselves.
