Jesses career in the music industry began in 1980 when he began working for uncle at KNTA 1430 am. His uncle Shorty Espinoza was a well know and respected on-air personality and sports broadcaster. Jesse would work the boards while his uncle was on the air and broadcasting live from various remote locations. Thus his mobile djing career began, playing for his friends, weddings, roller rinks, and promoting various parties in and around the San Jose Area.Jesse became a mix show dj for the Legendary late 80s all dance station KHQT Hott 97.7. Hosting a 4-hour LIVE mix show, he caught the attention of industry heavys, both labels and programmers. He was then appointed by radio big wig Ricky Leigh of Hits Magazine to be the first to represent San Jose on a national level in the now historic music industry insider column In tha mix. This list of contributions to the San Jose music scene is truly all relative to the fact of what has kept him moving forward and attached to his roots of dance music, and that fact can be summed up in one word, passion.Jesse has performed for underground labels parties in both New York and Miami such as Nervous, and King St. He has played along side just about every bay area legendary dj of the likes of, DJ EFX, David Harness, and Julius Papp to name a few.
