About Me

Hi! After nine months of wandering, I decided Seattle was the town I'd hang around. It's been two years, and no amount of rain can drench how much I enjoy this place. Actually, I really like rain, so that's almost a bonus.
So, I'm a professional hacker. It's...fascinating work, and shockingly fun. Imagine it being your job being to solve Rubiks Cubes.
With a sledgehammer.
Seriously. :)
So I play with toys, make pretty pictures, and generally enjoy exploring the boundries of whatever's possible. I also give talks; here's a video merging some psych research with the professional stuff:

My site.
I also enjoy tracking down interesting events.

"heavy machinery" + "mad creativity" = HOT.

My Interests

MEDIA WH0RE -- GIR

I'd like to meet:

Curious people. There is such beautiful chaos and structure swirling about. Show me the snowflake on the tip of your tongue :)

Music:

www.puredj.com (up up up), www.monkeyradio.org (chill on down), Gabriel and Dresden, Armin Van Buuren, Motorcycle, Garbage, Nubuo Uetsamu, Vanessa Mae, Bond (not James), AmIEvil, Blue Man Group, The Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players (who CAME TO SEATTLE but I MISSED due to involvement in INTERNATIONAL SCANDAL / MEDIA WH0RING), An Empty Street At 5AM With A Freeway In The Distance (really I'm actually a pretentious / uber-romantic geektype, seriously)

Movies:

Thank You For Smoking, Spirited Away, Memento, Matrix (and yes, Reloaded), The Ring, Crouching Tiger - Hidden Dragon, Amelie, Run Lola Run, Donnie Darko, Mean Girls (I'm a Tina Fey junkie and so are you), The Butterfly Effect

Television:

Robot Chicken, Heroes (blame my buddy Josh, he finally got me hooked), Aqua Teen Hungerforce, Scrubs, Law and Order, Simpsons, Babylon 5, Serial Experiments: Lain, Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Undergrads, Family Guy, INVADER ZIM (nickelodean dumps the show and hot topic gets the shirts. there is truly no justice.)

Books:

How The Mind Works by Steven Pinker, Vurt by Jeff Noon. Freakonomics needed a bit more rigor (and a bit less -- OMG I ROCK, NYT SEZ SO), but was still fascinating. Schoolteachers and Sumo Wrestlers...who knew they had so much in common. Finally read Snow Crash, The Best Book Ever Where The Mafia Delivers Pizza.

Heroes:

Zalewski
