I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

i am david. i am not normal, which is normal i guess, since no one seems to be normal. what is normal? i dunno. i am an artist and philosopher, and one day will post essays on various subjects i've written about, and i'll have images of artwork i've done. but not today. check back in the future if you care to do so. update 8/4/05 - actually, i'll probably never post anything here. i've got a website with stuff, so why do it all again here? 4-16-08 i am a gamer, as you should know already, and want to help gamers get together and keep rpg's from dying off. if you live in new orleans, or perhaps want a forum for whatever city you might reside in, look here first, and perhaps someone can help you. http://dnd.batlh.com

My Interests

THIS PROFILE IS RATED R. just a warning. i can be reached (occasionally) readily via yahoo. woody_two_soul is my id. go to my website too. there are many interesting things there, such as art i've done, essays i've written, pictures, commentary, and lots of other dave-id stuff. it is a joy to behold in its entirety. http://geocities.com/dave_lech/darkside.html

I'd like to meet:

many dead people: socrates, aristotle, da vinci, marquis de sade, descartes, plato, neitzche, rembrandt, mlk, monet, and other artists and philosphers. many live people too, such as gary gygax (who just died, so he's not living anymore), brett easton ellis, and the mastermind of the anonymous FICA, who sees fit to take my money each week. the bastard.

Music:

i listen to about anything. i am a big fan of the good life and cursive, most 80's rock 'n roll, so many genres and artists. i admit, i like guns 'n roses from back in the day, mid-to-late 80's, early 90's. i listen to just about anything though, but not as much rap or country as rock. i like older rap and country, back before it was all about "bling" and whatever such nonsense is out there as far as rap, and the country i like is back before it became wussed out and more pop than country. i listen to the radio sometimes too just to see if anything good is out.

Movies:

the three awesomest movies are all american: american psycho, american beauty, and american history-x. i like tons of movies. sin city was fuckin awesome too. monty python movies all rock. akira is rad. i like twisted reality stories like the butterfly effect and donnie darko. i like tons of movies. more recently i saw "thank you for smoking" and it was great.

Television:

i watch cartoons and news. almost exclusively, unless something really good is on another channel. actually, i really don't watch much tv at all any more. it'll make me even worse than i already am if i were to waste that sort of time.

Books:

star wars books. all of them. books kick ass. i read much sci-fi and fantasy. i like thrillers too, suspense, and the occasional humorous book like hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy. i am somewhat well read, you could say.

Heroes:

i don't have many heroes. my dad, my grandfathers, nixon (not the president, you don't know this fellow), the late wayniac. i respect many people, but few are heroes. i'm no hero.
