When I first started making beats it was just a hobby, but as time went by it became a passion. I remember in the mid 90's watching a commercial about a game called MTV Music Generator, shit said you can produce your own music! So I'm like, I gotta have it! So you know me, being the baller that I am I came out of pocket for the $3.99 rental from BlockBuster! I went straight home and put it in the station. That was the day it began.
I think I made about 50 beats on the playstation before I came up with the conclusion that it just took too long to make a beat on playstation, so I eventually gave it up. I retired for short while, but they turned around and brought out the Generator 2! So I had to buy that one. I came out retirement
So I was on the playstation! Day and night, like a kid playing video games, but only I was making beats. At the time I was living in Washington D.C., and after 7 years I decided it was time to go home! HOME! Yeah, Pittsburgh, PA. First thing I did was get up my hommie Bzerk. Took my playstation memory cards to his crib. After listening to the beats I made on the playstation (And B I love for this shit to this day!) my hommie Bzerk was like yo you minds as well take this machine to the crib with you. It was an ARS X PRO made by EMU. A red machine with black pads. He taught me the basics, I took it home, and came back wit like 40/50 beats. But at the same time, I was making beats I came home and found myself right back in the streets. I was sitting on my sister's porch. One day I looked in my lap, I had 2 guns. And I ain't had no gun since 1993 when gang violence was just out of control in Pittsburgh. (Alota niggas died, RIP) That's when I decided it was time fall back, so I went to North Carolina. I had some family that moved down there from up north. Also a very close childhood friend, he call himself
80 Proof but I call him by his GOV (if you don"t already know, You'll never know) anyway that nigga introduced me to the MP7, also manufactured by EMU. We ran into a confrentation because he tried to get me to move on to new ways to make beats. But I was so stuck on the MP-7, I was making beats in like 5 minutes. Why move on? But he had a point. This nigga came to my crib with a computer and a program, called Reasons. I was like "What the fuc is this"? If I knew then what I know now. So after a year I'm in Pittsburgh again. Me and my closest hommie we beefin', cause I did not want
to advance, I was content with the MP-7. That was some bullshit. my nigga 80 Proof much love. So, here I am in Pittsburgh, now I got my own MP-7 still making beats. I currently have about 500 beats that I have made in the last year. I'm hitting the industry with a new sound. As you can see every beat I make is original. I don't know how to sample, Ha! But when I learn! Damn!
I'm still on the MP-7 but I'm going to move on, so stay tuned.
