About Me

MyGen Profile GeneratorAt some point, a well profound meditation upon modern music and the role of experimental blends of sarcastic drum n' bass/hip-hop, jazz-bassed ambient and incendiary UK hardcore/metal in the workplace will go here. It will say stuff about iPods being a load of shit, and what dangerous people we are. Don't fuck with us.For now, it must suffice to say that the chaps have cobbled together a new couple of songs, with the kindly assistance of step-Alyrons Bruce J. Woods, Jack Wilson and Jen Gibbons, scholars and experts in the fields of Violince, Celloration and Singing Like a Girl respectively. With the sterling help of Mr. Jonny Renshaw of eminent UK Beat Combo Devil Sold His Soul, (formerly of Mahumodo) and Bandit Studios, Cirencester, (and Mr. Robbie Renshaw, his dog), they sound as big and lovely as they're supposed to sound, rather than like the comparatively uninteresting, protracted and uncomfortable turd that has gone before, both in the history of A Lyra, and of Earthly Civilization. The tunes also a lot shorter, something for which that last sentence compensates in part.In the slightly more long term, there'll be another song recorded at Christmas, and more gigs in the new year.
