Michael, also known as 'Sporty Rich' is one of the founding members of the Supergroups New Edition and Bell Biv DeVoe (BBD). In 1983 New Edition took the world by storm with their debut single "Candy Girl" and the hits have continued for the last 24 years. In 1990 Mike Bivins and fellow NE members Ricky Bell and Ronnie DeVoe collaborated as BBD and set the music industry on fire with their debut album "Poison" selling over 5 million copies.
