I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

So, I'm just this gal. A bit eccentric, but mostly harmless. Any major character flaws, I tend to blame on Peabody (just ask if you don't know).
I work a lot, mostly from home. When I do go and work someplace besides the couch, it's usually out to a school or correctional facility to talk with the people there about sex and related issues. I find it's getting harder to tell the schools from the correctional facilities, which is more than a little depressing.
I like going out dancing, and to concerts. I go out to eat more often than I should. I have also found, lately, that since I spend so much time alone, I am much more awkward around people than I used to be. I'm out of practice, but I guess that can't be helped. My boyfriend is out of town most of the time, but I do feel more at ease when he's around.
I like plants, and cats. I also like dogs, but I tend to be a bit choosier about them than I am about cats. I really, really want a Scottish Fold or Manx, as I have a bit of a thing for weird little mutants. I already have quite a few plants.
I like pretty clothes, too. And jewelry, especially crazy vintage costume stuff. I've recently been on a Coro kick. If you know what that means, we should probably be BFFs.

My Interests

Sexual health, addictive behaviors, etiquette, sci-fi, comics, clothes, jewelry, music, Art Deco, the emerging Romantik/Maximalist movement in design, Virgin Mary icons, wee little Ganesh statues, Russian nesting dolls, monkeys and other primates, neurochemistry and neurobiology, better living through chemistry, beading, funny internet videos, politics...I also have an unhealthy interest in red Hello Kitty items.

Back in the Republic

NYC was neat, but...I think I'm just too slack to be able to fully get it. I admire the energy levels of the natives and the people who have transplanted themselves there, because it seems like it's j...
