What about me? I've been hungry for the music industry since my freshman year of high school...Over the past few years, I've worked and gained industry experience through various companies, mainly labels and marketing companies...Played the clarinet, alto and baritone sax for a minute...Dropped those after 6 years and took up a new instrument: my voice box...And started directing the gospel choir on my campus...Been involved w/ music since the days I could go to the potty on my own...Even when I had my moments of doing number two, I always managed to sing a tune or two...or three...LOL...Now a senior in college, I'm in NYC trying to live out my dream...I'm interning in a hot and growing department at a major record label and I'm learning A LOT!...I'm meeting new and important people and am finally connecting w/ the people I've built relationships with on this here Crackspace...Basically, I'm just here in NYC to experience the music/entertainment industry to the FULLEST!!!
I'm all about meeting new everyday people, networking and helping people out any way I can...You never know...That person calling you 5 times a day about his latest business venture or hot new track, just might be the next Bill Gates or Kanye West...I've also learned that this industry's about sacrifice...And most of the time you'll end up putting other people or things before yourself and family...That's just the name of the game...If you don't know, well now you know! =)
