Testing the waters

About Me

Most know me as a jazz vocalist, but I have secretly written songs for my own entertainment that are of the not-jazz genre. They are my therapy.

I don't pretend to be good on guitar, my voice is my home. I have been learning how to let go of the drive for perfection, however, and I am content to make music for its own sake, embracing the imperfections as a distinct part of the beauty. The first seven profiles on my Top People feature me on various tracks. Check those out for additional genres in which I have partaken as well as Average Church Band .Currently, I am working with pianist/composer Brian Friedland as "Household Items", premiering a song cycle he has written for voice and piano with text drawn from ingredient lists, instruction manuels, warning labels, etc. To hear passionate presentations of all that peach lotion and cereal have to offer, check out our press kit through the link below.
