About Me

My web site is up, please check it out: www.sixstringgreen.com
Born and raised in the Philly area. Currently working on the dissertation to complete a Ph.D. in Musicology at the Claremont Graduate University.
Music has been my passion since I started playing the guitar as a twelve year old. I teach and perform (mostly jazz, Latin, blues and classical) in and around the LA area. You can catch me every Friday at the Candlelight Pavilion. I have also had the fortune of having performed throughout Canada, Japan and Poland. Recently, I have been performing guitar duets with friends and fellow CGU classmates Jaime Valdovino and Payam Larijani, who are both fine musicians and a pleasure to perform alongside.
I am grateful that I can make my living following my passion. The love and support I have received from family, teachers and friends has been absolutely integral throughout my endeavors.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Old and new friends.

Most Rewarding Gig Ever

Anyone who has made or attempted to make a living pursuing their art knows it is far from the path of least resistence. At times, I have felt that musicians have a thankless task and wondered where ex...

Zappa Plays Zappa

Upon just returning from Zappa Plays Zappa, I must say I was quite impressed with how well Dweezil did at performing his father's music. In his own right, Dweezil sounded excellent. While all the play...

Jazz Education

While I am sure it is an highly unpopular stance, the way in which jazz, especially improvisation, is taught is greatly flawed and even antithetical to carving one's individual voice. The proliferatio...
