A self-taught artist, Lousine Karibian, born in Armenia on February 11, 1987 began to draw at age three. Growing up in a home where listening to classical music was a regular she began to fantasize about everything. As of age five she believed she will one day be someone important, and share her unique sense of style. Her abstract works are the most favored and can be easily categorized as of Jackson Pollock’s style.Moving from Armenia to Hollywood in 1995 enabled her to make her dreams come true. Receiving a black belt from Martial Arts, Tae Kwon Do in 1999 and then attending Barbizon, School of Modeling and Acting in 2001 allowed Lousine Karibian to bring her creativity to another level. Fascinated by the works of Salvador Dali, Arshile Gorky, Wassily Kandinsky, and Samuel Karibyan (her uncle), she experimented with different medias.As of 2004, her paintings have been displayed at Art ‘N Soul (LA's Hottest Boutique consisting of Art-Fashion-Furniture: www.artnsoulnoho.com) in the NoHo Arts District and her work is rapidly being discovered. She has already had numerous independent Art Shows and in September of 2006, she had her first live art show for the Grand Opening of Heiress Salon (Red Carpet Event). April 2007, marked David of Sasson Art Exibition and Fundraiser where Lousine proudly participated with ten other amazing artist. Goal was to raise money for the movie trailer of David of Sassoon.
