Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Tashay Knight has touched many people with her soulful voice. Growing up singing in church since age 5, Tashay knows how to entertain an audience. "Singing has always been a part of my life" In 2003 Tashay performed and traveled with the Morgan State University Choir under the direction of the late Nathan Carter. There she also majored in music enhanching her musical and vocals skills, singing in all types of music in many different languages. over the years Tashay has written her own music and lyrics and has also won several talent competitions. Singing is not the only thing Tashay does so well, she also has won several dance competitons,in manydifferent states. Some of her influences included Gladyis Knight, Anita Baker, and Whitney Houston. "I like to sing, wirte and perform real music" Although compared to Alicia Keys and Keyshia Cole, Tashay Knight has a uniqueness about her and can perform a structural dance routine.
