Born in Brooklyn, New York’s Fort Greene Projects, (Kevin), known by everyone around him as K*Dot, is destined to be the next up and coming artist in the rap game. Residing in Brooklyn, New York during the 80’s, K*Dot, like so many others young males growing up during this time has seen much violence from drug deals, killings, and drive-by shootings; often at times being the victim himself as his house was broken into numerous times, and being threatened by peers up to and almost getting in physical altercations. Later .. relocating to Queens, New York, K*Dot developed a love of basketball which led him to play in different tournaments and basketball leagues in his area, and gave him a desire to want to become a member of the NBA. It was during this time K*Dot used to freestyle for fun, never taking it serious until his peers took his talent serious and suggested he pursue rapping serious and make a career of it. After following in the street life that so many young men get caught up in, K*Dot himself got caught up in the street life of girls, selling drugs, altercations with others, and cop harassment, that he landed himself a probation sentence extending five years.
Now fully focused on his music career, K*Dot is coming full force bringing heat to the streets. Although this task wasn’t an easy one, K*Dot didn’t have help from DJ’s like so many artist do, therefore K*Dot aspired and took a different approach. K Dot started creating his own mix tapes and personally distributing them hand-to-hand on the streets for free. While doing this, K*Dot was able to learn the business from hands on experience and developed a team who would become known as Cut The Check Entertainment.
