After Radio Aahs shut down, so did I. Due to unfortunate circumstance in my own life, I was not able to pursue my career in radio. I ended up working in retail stores for a few years, and eventually ended up in the mortgage industry. Needless to say, this was a far cry from doing what I wanted to do.
Although I didn't pursue my dreams in radio right away, I have been fortunate enough to buy and own a condo (which unfortunately forclosed), launch a few online ministries through the use of myspace and other free networking sites, and get involved in amazing ministries and volunteer in the community. I'm thankful for the opportunities and good fortunes I've experienced in the last few years. And although I'm not excited about the many losses I've experienced, I can say that I'm looking forward to this new season of change and growth.
I've decided to pursue radio and voice overs once again. Of course, this will require lots of work, preparation and networking. Instead of counting my loss as loss, I've decided to view it as a sacrifice so I can get to where I need to go.
