About Me

WORKING ON ESSAYS AND NOW OUT ON PLACEMENT, SO NOT GETTING IN TOUCH LIKE I SHOULD, SORRY FOLKS!

The image below is Van Gogh's 'Starry Night' and is the painting I get most satisfaction from! This is one instance which shows the impact of science on art, Vincent Van Gogh suffered from severe psychotic trauma, more pronounced during the period he produced 'Starry Night'.
Physicists have found evidence that swirls of smoke depicted on this painting(and others produced by Vincent during this period including 'Road with Cypress' and 'Star and Wheat Field with Crows')accurately represent Kolmogorov Scaling.
Van Gogh was an incredible talent but such a tortured soul. Pain makes art that changes how you see the world, that was his gift to me and that is why it will always have a place in my soul.
Well this is pretty heavy for a Myspace page which was supposed to be fun, read on and tell me what you think!

WHEN IT COMES TIME TO THROW OFF THIS MORTAL COIL THE ONLY THING YOU WILL LEAVE BEHIND IS LOVE.
WHEN THOSE POOR SOULS WERE PHONING THEIR LOVED ONES FROM THE TOP OF THE WORLD TRADE CENTER TOWERS DURING 9/11, THEY WERE TELLING THE PEOPLE THEY CARED ABOUT MOST HOW MUCH THEY ADORED THEM, NOT TALKING ABOUT HATE OR REVENGE JUST LOVE! Quotation - Me 10/08/2004..

My Interests

Not being bored and keeping occupied! I love having a laugh more than anything but not at making people feel shit! Oh and having a dance when Im out but really aren't very good at it, the white guy in Hitch dancing to Usher is me, but without the rythmn or more likely Napoleon Dynamite....(used to have hair like that also)

please if you have a moment to spare, click on this link below to be taken to The Hunger Site, where you can feed the hungry by clicking a button.

I'd like to meet:

Muhammad Ali has the biggest heart of anyone I have ever heard and his story is awe inspiring! It seems the pretty much the whole of the US government during the 60s tried to screw him but he still came back and won the world heavyweight championship....

I would also love to meet the Chinese man who stood up to those tanks at Tiananmen Square, again the bravery displayed made you proud to be alive that day!

Peter Ustinov has an immense intellect which he used to genuinely entertain people, not insult them or dumb anything down but make people laugh, a rare gift!

"Children are the only form of immortality that we can be sure of." Peter Ustinov

David Attenborough also has a rare gift and that I think was to show the world as being full of wonder as well as an infectious sense of the joi de vivre. any one who can lie about with gorillas all day is ok by me. Oh and I think Dave and old Pete above would have the best stories ever.

Oh Kate Moss and Paris Hilton because by the looks of things I could probably get off with them, mind you Kate would probably need a bath first before I would touch her and I wouldnt let Paris film me because I've got a spot on my backside just now!

Oh and George W Bush to tell him he's a bit of a knob!

Music:

The Clash, The Smiths, Chilli peppers, The Cure, The Kooks, Snow Patrol, Nirvana, Joni Mitchell, Prince, early Blondie, the Jam, I listen to most stuff but really like acoustic. I love SKYE, oh and Elliot Smith are amazing alongside Jeff Buckley, why do the best musicians have to always off themselves, the tragedy of art, eh!
Oh I really like the Last Town Chorus, if you can, head over to their Myspace page and listen to their version of Modern Love! I also really like Willy Mason just now, dont have the new album but will very soon...
I know there is so much more to Elliot Smith than this song but this performance is dope! ....

Movies:

Bad Santa
- is so flippin funny, I piddled myself!
The Way of the Gun
- favourite opening scene, when Ryan Phillipe tells the guy to please ask his girlfriend to be quiet, if you've seen the film you'll know what I mean.
E.T.
- first film to make me cry;
Goodfellas
- first film I got a snog at;
Heat
- first film I got too stoned I fell asleep;
Donnie Darko
- first film I didnt understand what the hell was happening;
Requiem For A Dream
- first film that hit me so hard I didn't stop thinking about it for a week;
Oldboy
- film that made me say "whoa W.T.F." sit up and watch after falling asleep;
Garden State
- the best soundtrack I can remember and a very touching, poignant and funny film to boot;
The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou
- the best dramatic performance by a man in a hat and also a triffic Bowie inspired soundtrack;
Million Dollar Baby
- last film I had a bubble at (Hilary Swank would have had a pretty difficult time at my school with that name but I would have looked after her, possibly could have a bit of a thing for her. Ought to really move her to the people I would like to meet but she is to nice to be in there with Paris & Kate!).
To Kill a Mockingbird
- Watched this after years, it has the greatest character ever written in to print, Atticus Finch. Children should be made to watch this film.

Bill Hicks- best stand up show; any of B.H's live shows are works of absolute genius.

I am looking forward to The 300, the graphic novella it is based on is amazing.

....

Television:

I love (and warning its quite a list) 24, ER, Deadwood, Sopranos, Prison Break, Medium, Murder One (was great, pity it got canned), Seinfeld, The Larry Sanders Show, Frasier, Cheers, god bless america for the Simpsons, oh and Family Guy!

What else Bilko is always a joy to watch!

The A-Team, The Fall Guy, The Dukes of Hazzard, The Professionals and The Sweeney take me back to the 80's. Justin Lee Collins A-Team reunion special was very, very good.

Little Britain series one and two (the newest season is pish). Saw L.B. live and it was very embarrassing and not very funny.

I HATE FUCKING BIG BROTHER!!!!!!!!!ITS SO FUCKING SHITE IN EVERY FORMAT AND EVERY SHOW....PLEASE, PLEASE NO MORE REALITY TITTING TELEVISION

Sorry for that rant, normal service will resume now Lost is ok too(Hurley makes the show for me), West Wing (Sorkin written) but they really are all quality material.

The list goes on and on, its really sad my TV list is much bigger than my music prefs.

Books:

Terry Pratchett plus tons of others. Anything that makes me think! Just got The Watchmen and V for Vendetta (the films pish though) graphic novels and they are superb...

Heroes:

We struggle. Always.
We are doing the best that we can.
And we dream of transcendence.
For me, there was a time when the dream was incarnate.
And the dream's name was Muhammad Ali."The Tao of Muhammad Ali" by Davis Miller

Our days are numbered.

One of the primary goals in our lives should be to prepare for our last day.

The legacy we leave is not just in our possessions, but in the quality of our lives.

What preparations should we be making now?

The greatest waste in all of our earth, which cannot be recycled or reclaimed, is our waste of the time that God has given us each day.”

Billy Graham

If you just learn a single trick, Scout, you'll get along a lot better with all kinds of folks. You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view, until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it
