About Me

So let's sum me up in a paragraph or two. I am introspective. I like to drink coffee, beer, water and liquid. I'm vegan, and LOVE cooking, and frequenting the many vegan cafes in town when I have money to burn..

I LOVE women but am no player by any means. Tried it out, but my damn conscience keeps getting in the way. Naughty conscience, naughty! I like the word naughty. It sounds like it is.
I like poetry, myth, the universe and deep and serious stuff between laughs. I enjoy being silly and unashamed. I like breaking out into song on ocassion, and have more fun when people join in with me. Joseph Campbell is my hero,
I love a good story, especially if the person telling it has a sense of humor. Interested in meeting sincere people who are themselves at all times with the world. Also love a good ghost story.
I'm also into animal rights (you know, I tried animal rescue thing for a little while, but gave up once I realized I was keeping them all) I'm an environmentalist, conservationist, Activist, into women's rights, gay rights, equal rights, and I hate the christian right and the Bush regime.
I'm into a lot of shite.

My Interests

I like going to the gym, going to protests and marches and rallies of all sorts of liberal stuff, hanging out at coffee shops, going for walks, exploring Seattle's great big parks, riding my bike, going for hikes, yoga, going to the artwalk, meeting new people and sparking up sincere conversation. Noam Chompsky is awesome. Passionate about the environment. I like going the library, to local bars

museums, The Pike Place Market, Downtown, Golden Gardens, everything Seattle!! I love reading in Cal Anderson park, going for scenic long drives, going camping, places of great natural beauty, (like the lake shrine),

the mysticism of mathematics, especially regarding the equation of e, & pi, & the golden mean(the theory of the nautilus shell)

plays, the art of Matt Bogard, concerts, camping, reading, writing, performing at poetry readings, having deep and meaningful conversations, ghost hunting, good cinema, listening to music, and being alive...especially that last one.

I'd like to meet:

I wanna cuddle with Betty Page!!! RAWR!!!

Music:

I am often living under a rock when it comes to music, but have an open mind and love it when people share their knowledge of music with me. I like Desmond Decker, Bob Marley, Suzanne Vega,

Iron & Wine, The Beatles, Kasabian, The Killers, Dresden Dolls, The Bravery, Illegal Tender, Mars Volta, Radiohead, White Stripes, The Strokes, The Falming Lips, Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, The Streets, Phillip Glass, Sixteen Horsepower, The Smiths, The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Bjork, Cocteau Twins, PINK FLOYD!!!! , big band era music, World Music, Pearl Jam, U2, Mazzy Star, Modest Mouse, Descendants, Queen, Smashing Pumpkins, Portishead, Velvet Underground, Queens of the Stone Age, Bad Religion, Coldplay, Violent Femmes, and many more...oh yeah, and that one guy who sings that one song, that sounds like the song by the guy who I can't remember the name of.

Movies:

I enjoy indie movies that change your perspective, like: My Dinner With Andre
(Their conversation changed my life)
Waking Life
Run Lola Run (every time I watch this movie I notice something new that blows me away), Winter Sleepers, Princess and The Warrior, Heaven, Ghingahs Blues, Guy Madden films, Donnie Darko, Goodnight and Goodluck, What the Bleep Do We Know, Baraka
,
Happy Accidents, Falling Down, Amelie, Box of Moonlight, Aguire The Wrath of God, and many others.
I like comedies like The Blues Brothers, Month Python's The Holy Grail, Oh Brother Where Art Thou, Man of the Century, Detroit Rock City, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen
,
Bowfinger, The Pink Panther, A Fish called Wanda, Ghostbusters, Frankenweenie, and The Poseidon Adventure.
I do enjoy a good horror flick too. The exorcism of Emily Rose, Poltergeist, Exorcist, McLibel, Ringu
, The Grudge, Aliens, Jacob's Ladder, The Shining, Ghost Story, What Lies Beneath, to name a few.
Old movies are good too, like, Double Indemnity, Gaslight, Casablanca, Suspicion, The Man Who Knew Too Much, Vertigo is one of the greatest Movies of all time, and so is To Kill A Mockingbird. I love all the Indiana Jones Movies, LOVE The Lord of the Rings (the special editions), and a handful of Star Wars movies. Some of them I could have gone without seeing *cough*Jake Loyd*Phlem*Gag*Vomit*Jake Loyd*Cough* (hows that for subtle?)

Television:

For the most part Television is EVIL. However, we all have a little evil in us. Right know I love that Canadian cop show, Davinci's Inquest. Nothing like a show about gentle Canadian cops who find corpes with octopusses on their face.

I also love Twin Peaks.
"Diane, I think this tape recorder is broken..."

Sitcoms mostly suck, except for the Simpsons. I find reality shows funny, when I get sucked into them, which isn't that often. Oh, and who doesn't love Gilligan's Island. Come on, yes a bad show, but you know you love it. Admit it.

Books:

Everything by my great ancestor, James Joyce

The Unbearalbe Lightness of Being, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, A Tree Grows In Brooklyn, To Kill A Mockingbird, Lord Of The Flies
, The Invisible Man,
Frankenstien, Dr Jeklle and Mr Hyde, The Lord of the Rings, and the poetry of: Rimbaud, Baudelaire, Poe

Dorothy Parker, Edna St. Vincent Millay, William Blake
,
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and anything else I can get my grubby hands on.Grubby: 1.)filthy; dirty; unclean, as if from grubbing. 2.)infested with grubs, especially with botfly larvea, as cattle or sheep. 3.)a fish of the genus Cottus; a sculpin.

Heroes:

The hero with a thousand faces, and Andy Stephenson

Admitting the truth

So today I find myself thinking about lost love, except it is not the love that is lost, regretfully, but the object of that love. So where does that leave me? Waiting to find someone new. To see t...
