Who are The Get'em?
The Niagara Falls based band The Get’em seem to finally have the wind at their backs; the line-up is solid, the songs are sounding tight as ever and local venues and the general music listening audience are taking notice.
This year alone, shows are being booked at The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto as well as venues in London, Hamilton, Kingston and Ottawa.
The past few months have been ones of considerable growth for the Niagara based rockers. Working with legendary producers such as Dean Malton and recording a six-song EP with the Red Room Studios owner Joe Stracuzzi, the band plans to make a full release of the record this summer, playing as many shows as possible to promote the material. The band's newest EP - 'Make Room' - contains material that was written over the last year and is a great show case of The Get'em's versatility.
The band’s dynamic, energetic alternative rock sound is comparable to that of many of their influences. Taking lessons from classic such as The Clash, The Rolling Stones and The Police and mixing it with current standards such as The Muse, Modest Mouse and Radiohead, the band is continuing to evolve and push listeners to open their ears and Make Room.
