Livalect , or "Liv", has been making conscious music in the Boston area for the past 7 years. For most of that time he worked as a hip-hop artist with a reggae-influence, until 3 years ago when he decided to pursue his passion for reggae music due to his disillusionment with the hip-hop community. A long time devotee of Haile Selassie I, Livalect always favored reggae music but had kept his distance due to his American upbringing. However after living in Jamaica and reasoning with cultural icons such as Mutubaruka, Tony Rebel, Yasus Afari and Queen Ifrika, Livalect's relationship to Jamaica, Rastafari and reggae music became a lifelong commitment.Myspace BackgroundsLivalect has just released two new singles to kick of 2007.
