The idea for the beginning of this band was born in August 2005. The creative force behind the origination of this collaboration was an individual recording project Wayno was working on at Tremolo Lounge in West Boylston. He wrote and played all the material but knew it needed something more - the right mix of talent, experience, energy and personality to form the band that would become known as One Lane Bridge. The collaboration of Wayno and Jamie Loader began with a chance meeting where Wayno asked if he might be interested in doing vocals on a wedding song he had just written for some dear friends (In My Arms). Jamie's mind-blowing vocals were the perfect fit for this ballad and the pair continued to work together on the album, quickly gelling as a songwriting powerhouse but still searching for members to complete the team. While handing out demos at a club, Wayno recruited Mike Whalen to play bass. Jamie invited Keith McGrath (who he had played with in a previous band) to play drums, knowing him to be the most seasoned pro drummer this side of the Mississippi. The band still needed another guitarist that would be an easy fit. Ted Kalinowksi was already playing with Wayno in the band Standard Deviation and would be the fifth and final member of One Lane Bridge. The last piece of the puzzle fell quickly into place and the lineup was complete.Their first practice was a momentous event with chemistry so intense it was almost surreal. Their live shows are a combination of raw energy, catchy tunes with powerful lyrics and a symmetry that can only come from the perfect musical fit. Its members have over 20 years of experience in numerous local bands with many different musical styles, finally coming together to form the unique blend of rock and soul that is One Lane Bridge.
