About Me

Sleipner startet out as a School project in spring of 2004. The project was about all the technical stuff with recording in a studio. That was when the EP'single *World of Hunger* was recorded, and soon after the EP *In Honour of Thy Name*
After that semester the three guys, Rune(leadG & vocal), Anders(rythmG) and Regel(drums, piano & vocal) decided to continuing writing music together, and invited Mikkel(bas), who had allready helped recording the base on *In Honour..* and Berg(vocal) into the band.
Soon the band was joined together. Playing a few startoff-gigs. At this point the 5 guys were still learning to know eachother.
In the fall 05 it felt right to go in studio once again for another EP. After touring in spring 05, playing among other places; VoxHall, Musikcaf..en, Hiller..d Bio... The band needed this new EP for promoting. They recorded *Complication Point* at Shalimar Studio in Odense november 05.
Shortly after Sleipner was invited to Middelfart Gymnasium playing as the main band at the Musicfestival, Murakel. At this same event they shot their first live dvd, witch was released on sleipnerband.dk in february 06.
After touring in spring once again, antother and the latest EP *Drop the Bomb* was in the last of may 06.
And that leads to were the band stands today. Sleipner played at the Mosstock festival this summer, which was a very proud moment for the band, as the first time playing at Musikcaf..en and Voxhall.
The band are at the moment working on new material and making new contacts. Further more Sleipner are planing on the next 'Murakel festival', where Sleipner once again will be shooting a live dvd!
