"It's hard to believe". Four words you're going to be hearing a lot this year.
The Ultrasonics is a new electro-pop group consisting of three producers - twins James and Jon Kinnear from the UK, and Cliff Millender from Florida. The band is fronted by Manchester born singer Johanna.
As well as taking influences from the '80s, the band have mixed modern electro sounds with a definite pop sound. The result is an incredibly commercial project that showcases The Ultrasonics as one of the brightest finds of 2007.
"We started this project with the full intention of writing hit records," Cliff explains. "We wanted to write songs that dance music enthusiasts could enjoy, and at the same time still appeal to large masses."
The Ultrasonics' first single will be 'Why You Had To Leave' - an addictive new-wave fuelled track that has instant appeal.
Why You Had To Leave is electro-pop at its very best, and is perfect for both the dance floor and the radio.
Stay tuned for details on the release of the single later this year.
