This hot, up and coming singer, song-writer Kadija Kamara brings together the aesthetic sounds of Jazz, Soul, Hip Hop and acoustic flavours to our ears. With a raspy, but sensuous sound, Kadija flows with a unique style soon to bless a stage near you.Previously having worked within 2 groups, Kadija decided to pursue her career as a solo artist in 2005, and is currently working on a solo album to showcase her true talents. Kadija is currently working with a top range of producers and production companies such as "First Love Musik" which consists of the talented "Self Taught" and & Realism AKA (Friday 13th), Akwasi Mensa (Silhouette Brown), Mark De Clive Lowe (Free Soul Session), Miles James and many more. She is also involved in other projects, mainly within the 'House' music scene, executions her writing and vocal skills, with top acts such as Fanatix (Neil Pierce & Aaron Ross) and DJ Kofi. Also showcasing her talent across the Atlantic, Kadija has written and featured on up and coming Hip Hop Artist Album, 'Theory Hazit' (of Scribbling Idiots).
Previously managed by "Chipz" (Cash Crew) and "Michelle Gayle"(Eastenders), Kadija's career has moved from strength to strength. She has participated in many vocal performances with major acts such as Lyric L (loose lips), Abram Wilson (Jazz Mobo Awards Nominee 2007, Jazz Jamaica & Tomorrow's Warriors), Silhouette Brown (Dego, Kaidi Tatham), Sewuese plus more. In addition to this, Kadija has been blessed to grace the stage some of the UK’s most outrageous talents on the scene. Some of these include Sewuese, Nadine Charles, Vanessa Freeman, Deborah Jordon, Xan Blacq, Rasiyah, Baby Sol, Femi Tomowo, Troy Miller Miles James, Nathan Alan and many more.Her influences stem from musical legends such as Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and Whitney Houston. Hip Hop: A Tribe Call Qwest, Common, Kanye West plus more. More recent Lauryn Hill Mariah Carey, Jill Scott and more.Kadija had received regular airplay from major radio and digital stations, such as BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra. More recently, in September 07, took part in a BBC Radio 1 Maida Vale live recording session, performing 2 of her forthcoming album tracks 'Been Thinking' & 'Goal'. This session has already received airplay on BBC Radio 1 with Ras Kwame.
