Shortz 1st started in the streets of Northwest london in Kensal Rise (Linden Avenue N.W.10). He then was moved to a secure home in west london due to certain circumstances now living in (Kilburn N.W.6) where Shortz spent most of his childhood days. Music speaking, it was in Jamaica where myself Shortz first found my love for being an artist, hearing Beenie Man and Bounty Killer at it all the while, watching them on stage shows made me realised where i wanted to be and what i wanted to do. When i retuned to the U.K i was still jotting down the Dancehall lyrics but my step brother Jepps introduced me to Garage music. I loved the swing and then started writing lyrics for garage. During that time i started to Dj aswell often doing my own sets at home on the banged up tape deck. After years went on i think i was about 17 when when i started to really take it seriously. I got given fruityloops by my doug Rapster and i copied and sent them round to my peeps. After that it was all on. My peeps was banging out tracks daily while i watched, learnt and awaited my pc. Once i had that i made my plan to head for success. By 19 I had a good knowledge of the computer, fruityloops, wavelab, cubase i just learnt by fiddleing about with buttons. Then i purchased some equipment and made my own little 16 track studio. By that time everyone was at a good level lyricly and producing. My cuz Rayla broke the barrier with a big hit chaos original track for J Wings TRUE WEST MC'S. He also done the first verse on the track you can hear that at J Wings space on my friends list on my other space. I kept doing my little sets at home, local radio stations and now after a long grind and taking a year to learn the music business at college im at this point in action.
