Check the US-release at www.myspace.com/spreadeaglepeterpanspeedrock
Meanwhile, Bart,Bartmann and Peter are working in the studio and on the stage. New lyrics are written and recorded, Tomas Skogberg is mixing it all together in Sweden; the heavy rocking album will be released with an unique & exclusive party in Eindhoven, end of August. Details will follow soon.
Hallo Venray and Cool Genius release & tour
Our roster features a lot of trio-bands, like Peter Pan Speedrock, Nuff Said, 16Down, Stuurbaard Bakkebaard and the Cocks. With the new albums of Hallo Venray and Cool Genius, we present the trio-lovers a nice and special program of melodic, dynamic and intense songs. Godfathers and rookies, together on the road with "Leather on my Soul" and "Maybe you should do that, too".
Hallo Venray is recording new amazing, breath-taking songs in their own Sahara Studio's. This three-piece is capable to make their individual skills functional to the bandsound, still enlarged by energy, melody and arrangements.
Cool Genius is young en enthusiastic and is estimated to be one of Holland's most promising popbands. Their strong vocals, surprising lyrics and funky, organic melodies, will be supported by constantly changing rhythms, bass lines, samples en themes. It's difficult to get these catchy songs out of your head!
Both albums will be available half October and will be presented as a live double bill on 19 October (Hedon Zwolle) en 27 October (Paard van Troje). For the connecting tour, these bands are available for more double bills, as well as stand alone shows.
Nuff Said songs in movies
Late 2007, the new movie of director Erik de Bruijn,'Nadine', will feature songs from Nuff Said and the Punanas. The Punanas, a side-porject of drummer Willy Berrevoets, have compesed the soundtrack 'About you'; the NS-songs 'Boom' and 'Meet you there' have been used in other fragments.
Another song, 'Splinter', will be the soundtrack for a documentary "Hair" from director Michiel Brongers. This documentairy will be presented at the Dutch FilmFestival in Utrecht in September.
Nuff Said's new single 'Save me" will be released within 3 weeks, with a video directed by Matthijs Hoitsma and Gregor Meerman.
Dè Normaal Coverband trapt 'm an!
Try outs of Dè Normaal Coverband have been a great success. Their shows in Hellendoorn and Zieuwent ended up in unmeasurable climaxes of dialect rock, putting the pedal to the metal. The crowd went out of their minds, beer and straw flew through the air and it was a complete mess after all.
After 2 more try outs in summer, the band will continue at high speed from 1 November on. Please check www.myspace.com/denormaalcoverband for more updates.
New edition of BEUKORKEST
After the great feedback from edition 1 of BEUKORKEST, this great project-band will return to the stages in 2008. Coach Rik van Iersel and central band Stuurbaard Bakkebaard are already drafting their 2008-team, to compose a new, unknown, energectic, dynamic en eclectic sound collage. Please contact us now for dates and options.
The Apers go USA again
The Apers will play 12 US Eastcoast shows to support their "Reanimate my Heart"-release on Insubordination Records. They play several venues and cities, like Knitting Factory in New York City and the labelfestivals Insub Fest in Baltimore. With support of MusicXport and NPI, they will do some extra promo for the album.
The universel sound of RSJF
ROtterdam Ska Jazz Foundation will be on European tour in September, playing shows in Belgium, France, Slovenia, Italy, Roemenia, Hungary, Poland, Switzerland and Germany. In October, they will finalize the mixing of their new album, before playing a Dutch clubtour in December.
