I am here for Friends

About Me

I was born in the Philippines and moved to the US when I was about 3 years old. Lived a great sheltered life in Northern California and now living an even greater life in New York.I'm not married (yet) nor do I have kids (yet) but I do have someone special in my life who I hope will someday fix the first part of this sentence...ahem...hint..hint! We've been together for over 5 years now and I'm proud to say that he still manages to make my heart beat fast and make my knees weak both when he enters AND leaves the room (wink, wink). He's taught me a lot about love and life and I will forever be thankful for the strength and support he showered me with to get through the loss of my brother.I'm usually the quiet one in the group but don't let that fool you. Take me to a club with some great music and I'll be the first one up on the speaker or out on the dance floor. When I'm not basket weaving in the Amazon jungle or helping bring back road-kill to life, you'll either find me out with my friends or home dreaming of the day I no longer have to work!

My Interests

I'm a Gemini so I have a ton of interests I could add to this list but I can easily say number 1 would be DANCING! I love to dance!! Be it at a club, in a class, in a dressing room, or just by myself at home.. dancing has always been an interest of mine. The freedom and confidence it gives me is something I treasure the most. It's also a great way to reach out or connect with people I know or want to know :)P.S. When I dance I need space so stand back people and give me room!

I'd like to meet:

Changing to "Who I'd like to meet..again"Answer: My older brother and best friend, Michael, who passed away in 2004. He was a person I looked up to the most and the person who convinced me to move out of my comfort zone to grow into the woman I am today. I will forever miss his infectious smile and awesome personality. It was an honor to have known him in this lifetime and would be a blessing to be able to run into him again in another. Forever in my heart I will hold the love I have for my Manong Mike.

Music:

House is always good to have around and is guaranteed to put a smile on my face every morning as I drag myself to work. Add some great vocals and I'll probably learn the words within seconds of first hearing the song just so I can mouth them as I dance or walk down the street. Tribal gets me going also, afterall who can resist moving your hips to those sexy drum beats! Honesty there isn't much that I don't like...if it gets me moving then it probably means I like it. Fav. djs - Abel, Junior, M.Lehman, Rauhofer,Paulo and Offer to name a few.

Movies:

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (always wondered what an everlasting gobstopper tasted like), An Affair to Remember, Shashank Redemption, Bell Book & Candle (thank you MT) and several others but I can't think of the titles right now.

Television:

As much as I have the TV on I can't really say I have one true favorite. However reality shows are always entertaining and I think I have about 4 different ones set to record every week! Nip Tuck is a bad influence and I love it. Lost is always exciting and Famiy Guy always makes me laugh.Really though I think I just need to have a distraction for when I get bored with what ever it is I'm doing. That....and it blocks out the voices I hear from under the bed (REALLY!).

Books:

Tuesday's with Morrie, Donuts aren't Ughly eny mor, A Light in the Attic

Heroes:

Strong, powerful, confident women who can also be silly and playful!
